Rudy on Kerik Charges : “It’s a Sad Day”

While campaigning in a suburb of Las Vegas today, the GOP frontrunner responded to the formal federal charges brought by authorities in New York against his former NYD Police commissioner, Bernard Kerik. Rudy Giuliani said that it was a” sad day” because the federal indictment contrasted with Kerik’s record as a “decorated police officer”yet he believed the charges were serious enough that they needed to be dealt with by the federal justice system. Ultimately, the former New York mayor stated that Kerik deserves his day in court, but again took responsibility for not properly vetting Kerik.
