Patriotism and Politics

From rock and roll bands, to fireworks and barbecue, to political stump speeches–
You could find all that and more this weekend at a Veteran’s Day celebration in Charleston, South Carolina.

John McCain stopped by Riverfront Park to pay tribute to his fellow vets. When he’s on the campaign trail, the Arizona Senator is not shy about bringing up his military service and time spent as a Vietnam POW. He says those experiences make him the most qualified candidate on national security issues. But it’s also clear that McCain feels a deep a connection with veterans and those who serve in the military.

One Response to “Patriotism and Politics”

First of all, the keyboardist is an awful singer.

I think if we have a terrorist attack in the next few months, McCain could catapult to the top, even ahead of Rudy. The country will look for someone with military experience and McCain would be the man.
