Des Moines, Sanctuary City?

The Des Moines Register reports that a city council member has been approached by immigration groups about a proposal to make Des Moines a sanctuary city. Illegal immigration is becoming a defining issue between the candidates and this is some serious grist for the mill.

My thanks to the Des Moines city council member for keeping the discussion on illegal immigration a sure to be lively one! Most average everyday folks in the mid west are angered over the illegal’s getting “breaks” for being illegal! What don’t elected officals understand about the law abiding citizen resenting someone breaking our laws and our national soviegnity crossing the border without doing it the right way.
Illegal immigration will be one of the defining issues of this Presidential campaign. We need a candidate who will build the fence first, then know who’s here and deal with it….As for the line, we cannot deport 13 -20 million illegals….go back and look at history! FDR did deport about 13 million during WWII, if it was done back then it can be done now….don’t tell me we can’t build the fence either…..the Chinese built the Big Wall and it’s still there!
Thank you Des Moines Council member! You are the gift that keeps on giving! Happy Thanksgiving…I’m thankful for you!
