Gov. Romney just called for Judge Kathe Tuttman’s resignation in the Daniel Tavares case. The campaign expressed Romney’s wishes yesterday. But this is the first time he has actually said he wants her off the bench,”The judge showed an inexplicable lack of good judgement in a hearing that decided to put someone on the street who had not only in the past been convicted of manslaughter, but had threatened the lives of other individuals and was a flight risk and I think on that basis that despite her record of being a law and order prosecutor her lack of judgement suggested a need to resign from that position.”

” When asked how he came to the decision Romney said, ” I reviewed the decision she made and spoke with my staff and concluded it was the right course to ask her to resign. “

He was also asked if he was afraid with all the press attention it would turn into a Michael Dukakis/Willie Horton situation. He simply answered, “no, not really.”
