NPR Debate: Bi-Lingual Bragging

During the debate over English as the primary language in the United States, Chris Dodd presented himself, as the only candidate in today’s forum who speaks Spanish fluently, and thus has a better perspective on the matter. Biden responded: “Stop bragging!” (Richardson is not participating in the forum, and his campaign staff said he is attending a funeral)
My son recently dropped a foreign language (you can guess which one) at his college. I told him not to be concerned and that the U.S. Dept. of Education is probably 99% foreigners anyway and that is why they are forcing legal citizens (Americans) such as college students and others to learn a foreign language, namely spanish! Putting students degrees in danger due to forced learning of foreign language is just going too far!
