McCain Declines to Attack Romney

John McCain is refusing to sling mud at Mitt Romney, despite a report that illegal immigrants were working at the former governor’s home as recently as last week.

The Boston Globe reported a year ago that Romney’s lawn care company used undocumented workers. Romney says he met with the owner, who promised to obey the law, so he gave the company a second chance.

Though Senator McCain declined to comment, he was beaming, practically gloating, before boarding his Straight Talk Express Tuesday night. On the bus, reporters pushed McCain to say SOMETHING about Romney, asking the Senator – Is there a level of irony or hypocrisy here? A lesson to be learned?

McCain refused to take the bait, saying only, “These things happen.” He says his wife has conducted checks to make sure anyone working for them is legal at their condo in Phoenix.

Illegal immigration is one of the hottest, most emotional issues in this election season. McCain has said repeatedly that he believes he took a huge hit in the polls last summer, because of his support for comprehensive immigration reform.

I don’t se too much coming out of Washington on how to stop all the illegal coming into this country and if I’m not mistaken McCain is still an officer holder in Washington. Where is all the laws they can pass to stop this mess. I know they are still in the pen the ink has never been put to paper yet and it will never be put to paper.

So why don’t they just shut up on this subject if they are not going to do any thing about it.

I think that there is more involved in the process other than just holding office. i believe that there has to be a vote as well a majority in agreement for the process to be appoved, so you can’t place the blame in one spot. if you want to do something about the immigration problem then get McCain elected he seems to be the only one with an actual plan on what to do with that issue.
