Rudy says debate was “unsatisfying,” ignored key issues
Cedar Rapids, IA — Rudy Giuliani said he found Wednesday’s GOP debate “unsatisfying” because it left out some of the “biggest issues” facing the country.
“One of the things that I found unsatisfying about the debate today was that it cut off discussing Iraq and illegal immigration. They are two of the biggest issues that face us,” Giuliani told a town hall forum at Coe College Wednesday evening. He discussed his reaction in response to a student’s question about the origins of terrorism.
He was then asked for further comment by another forum attendee. Referring to the moderator of today’s Iowa Public Radio/Des Moines Register debate, Carolyn Washburn, he added, “I think she did a good job of asking the questions she asked. But I think it was a mistake to leave out terrorism, Iraq, Iran and immigration.”

Giuliani’s comment is an example of why he is not doing well in Iowa. We also would like to know his view on other topics as well. The topics addressed were ones that Iowans wanted to hear about based on a Des Moines Register survey.
That being said, I can’t say that I really liked the format.
The reason the Iowa debate was so boring was it was administered by the biased DEMOCRATIC Des Moines Register!!
And would you all like to know why Rudy is NOT doing well in IA? His campaign staff is not calling ,sending out fliers, contacting ANY of us! When calling the National Campaign headquarters for Rudy in NYC, they stated when asked why” WE do not solicit”!! HELLO??? Who are THEY working for ? Obviously NOT Rudy!!
The home answering machine is filled with messages from EVERY other campaign – we are registered Republicans- but NOT Rudy.
Does anyone know how to get this ‘message ” to Rudy personally so at least he is informed of this situation? He at least needs a fair ,running chance.
Giuliani is a con artist. Who cares what he thinks about the debates? As far as I’m concerned, Rudy is more of a car salesman than a leader. http://www.drainweb.com
