Huck promotes big endorsement
In Florida on Sunday following the univision debate I interviewed the governor. Afterward he and his staffers heavily advertised a big news making endorsement Friday in NH.
It’s a national figure. They were very excited. They have been telling reporters ever since so its likely to leak…interesting way and time to raise expectations.
After Mitt’s immigration ad hitting Huck, the new Iowa frontrunners aides couldn’t wait to roll out the endorsement by the founder of the Minutemen. But the organization went out of it’s way to criticize Huckabee’s illegal immigration record and say the founder was not speaking for the group.
No question Chuck Norris and Rick Flair brought Huck’s name ID up…Oprah didn’t hurt Obama.
It’s rally and get out the vote time so anything that draws cameras is a boon. Todays Huck backer will be unveiled in Concord NH.

Oooo-maybe you can chase him in your new campaign vehicle, Carl!
Immigration has become a large issue (so far) this campaign season. I want to remind everyone that Republicans are not monolithic on any issue. I think the wall on the southern border is like the Berlin wall, a sign of failure and not freedom. The melting pot could absorb all of Latin America and Canada combined and make our Manifest Destiny north to south and not just east to west. (How’s that for Imperialism, Chavez?)
I doubt that Gov. Romney will like paying his lawn contractor lawyers’ wages. We all benefit from cheap immigrant labor, quit whining about it.
Republicans lose when they exclude a growing portion of the voting population. African-Americans don’t vote Republican because the party was on the wrong side of the Civil Rights issue. Hispanic-Americans will remember for generations who is on the right side of the Immigration issue.
Ed Rollins! Nice move Mike! Perfect timing for your appearance on O’Reilly tonight. Hopefully Ed will tag along. Wonder if Mike clearing 20% in the poll (which he should do in the next few days) earns Dick Morris another dinner?
Leonard you have fallen victim to the Democratic spin to try to rewrite history. Republicans have a better record on civil rights than the Democrats. I found this online “In the twenty-six major civil rights votes since 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 % of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 % of the votes.” Republicans championed the Civil Rights act and about three times more Democrats voted against it than Republicans. If you don’t believe it ….look it up and respond. Not sure if you remember but the south was dominated by Democrats during the civil rights movement.
Also illegal immigrants don’t vote (at least not legally) so how are the Republicans excluding them?
Also if walls are so awful why do you live in a house? The answer probalby is to protect your family from harm and possesions from being stolen.
Hey WV4Huckabee did you know Rollins acutually admitted to paying Black ministers to be quiet and not vote during previous campaigns he was involved in. Did you also know Huckabee paroled murders, rapists and people associated with him or his friends. He also raised taxes and is for tuition aid for illegal immigrants. People in WV must be rich to be able to afford higher taxes and to fund education for illegals. Recommend you take a close look at Mitt Romney thats who I am going to vote for.
Old Huck. HMMMnnn…who started that nick name? Just wondering…it does sound better than Huckabee. Anyway, a correction to Mr. Carters remarks above: If it weren’t for the Republicans support of the “Civil Rights issue”, it never would have became law. The Southern Democrates fought it….Al Gore’s Father voted against it as a matter of fact. The wall on the US/Mexico border is hardly the Berlin Wall, and Mitt Romney didn’t hire the illegals that worked on his lawn, he contracted a company that unfortunatly had illegals working for it.
No need to distort the facts Leonard….that is if your intent is to share the light of truth. We all lose when the rule of Law, upon which this country was founded, is disregarded, misrepresented and devalued by us….the legal USA citizens.
MSKAZ and Mr Massey: You’re right about the old Southern Dems. Those same southerners now vote overwhelmingly for Republicans, except for the African-American population. Why is that?
As for the Illegals, you’re right again, they can’t legally vote. However, the last time I checked the Census Bureau shows more Hispanics than African-Americans living in the US. I don’t think that the 44+ million Latinos are all illegal. I wonder how they will vote in states like Texas and Florida, which are the big electoral states for Republicans?
As for the wall, the one in Berlin was certainly nicer looking – so you’re right again. If you want a real wall, visit China.
As to living in a house, we have walls on all four sides not just the southern exposure. Are you proposing to build a wall up the east and west coasts and across the Canadien border, too?
