The Iowa Democratic Caucus numbers that are reported are seriously skewed in favor of 2nd and 3rd place candidates.
I was in a room (Scott County D33) that was at least 80% in support of Barack Obama. Hillary had enough to get 1 delegate and John Edwards needed 1 more vote just to get the 15% and even be viable. A woman with the Barack Obama group jumped ship and joined the Edwards camp to the suprise of the overwhelming Obama majority. When asked later why she switched to Edwards she said that she didn't want the Edwards group to be unviable and possibly have some of his group join Hillary's group and maybe push her over the number to gain another delegate.

So the numbers that really broke down like this (anyone honest in the room will agree):

Barack Obama 80%
Hillary Clinton 12%
John Edwards 8%

Get reported like this:

Barack Obama 60% 3 delegates
Hillary Clinton 20% 1 delegate
John Edwards 20% 1 delegate

I know people from many different precints that say the exact same thing about the vote in their precinct.

Even the numbers at the Des Moines Register site just tell the delegate count. No one publishes the real numbers! The real numbers are the real story and the reported numbers seriously take away from the winner and are generous to the 2nd and 3rd place candidates.

Perhaps instead of having 10 people in Iowa or NH decide who the next President should be we should ask Forest Gump!

Sickening If the immigrant is over 65 they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890 and each can also obtain an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of $2,470./month.This compares very well to a single pensioner who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 years can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!Consider sending this to all your American friends, so we can all be ticked off and maybe get the refugees cut back to $1, 012 and thePensioners up to $2,470 and enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40years. Please forward to every American to expose what our elected politicians DEMOCRAT(Nancy P. Included) have been doing over the past 11 years

Yes folks listen up,IOWA CAN MAKE THIS WORKall we need to do is get 1 person from every county to vote on this type of question for our platform sent on to the state convention.other state's will hear of this and also raise it in there own state, and before you know it ,it will be enacted upon1 Million Dollars times 100 senators? so for 6 years cost nearly 1 BILLION DOLLARS for maybe 2 years (730 work days) and JUST how much of that will our grandkids pay?And while were at it lets lower our states cost of government ?Lets all pass the word about this "new form of government "to all the people we know ,like the tv tells us "you tell 2 friends and they tell 2 friends and so on and so on" we already ask our kids kids to foot the bill after all "big government" should not mean big fat juicy paychecks !America may become better and stronger for this anyway, with more people serving in government and not these 4 and 5 term folks ,we need fresh face's and new idea's

Wes,

When have you heard McCain claim that experience as a POW alone qualifies him for President? How about years as a professional military officer? How about years in the Senate? How about being the guy who challenged Rumsfeld when most Republicans wouldn't, either because they were too ignorant or too afraid to "alienate" President Bush? McCain challenged Bush on Rumsfeld's corporate-management style of war-fighting in Iraq, while others played it safe, regardless of how many Americans died. However, once Bush had his back to the wall, guess which Senate Republican led the charge to let a general fight the war in Iraq, rather than a politician/manager? Who led the fight to push the Petraeus plan? John McCain.

I understand why people disagree with McCain's positions on issues--I've disagreed with him on a couple. But, McCain is a leader and fighter, and he's shown it most of his life. That's what "qualifies" him to be President.

I've been fairly undecided about who I should vote for or if it's even worth my time. After researching the candidates and fumbling through all the horse manure that many folks call news I've decided that Ron Paul offers the only true change of ANY candidate. These low Iowa turnout numbers could be a huge advantage for Paul....he DOES have devoted followers unlike many of the other republican candidates and this sort of turnout could be in his favor. Everywhere I go Virginia, NC & SC...I see Ron Paul signs everywhere. I have relatives who live in other states across the US and they have mentioned the same thing.....something is definitely going on with Dr. Paul's message. The news media is ignoring Paul for a reason.....to keep their jobs!!! With Paul as president that means they would actually have to do their jobs and report the news....not give us their opinions on what they want us to believe. I've yet to see an explanation from the media as to why Dr. Paul has recieved more support from the military than any other candidate? Why is that you think? Maybe it's because they have "real world" experience and see what is going on from their point of view.......?!?

Lets face it, Huckabee is using religion to boost his votes(is that christian-like??) Romney is a "flip-flopper" who will say anything to anyone who he thinks will vote for him....that's been proven. Guiliani reminds me of a mob boss who just happened to be at the right place during the right time to gain a little "presidential fame" and is using the misfortunes of 911 to his advantage for votes, he is a great "debater" that uses american ignorance to his advantage... Thompson reminds me of a cadavre to be honest(nice guy with great ideas...he just seems lifeless and not interested). McCain is using his PoW excuse for "presidential experience"....just what skills did he learn as a PoW that qualifies him for President?? Give me a break...
Hillary will probably get the largest smack in the face of all the candidates, I know many folks who have never voted before that have said they will vote for "ABH"...anybody but Hillary. Obama will fade due to his lack of experience....just watch. Edwards is a democrat copy of Romney in my opinion...both are equally useless.

Ron Pauls ideas are not all that radical(as the media likes to portray)...Dont get me wrong here....I dont agree with him on everything he says, but he would certainly bring about some "common sense change" which I think this country is in dire need of at the moment. It's time we focus on OUR country and OUR people for awhile(we have our own issues here at home) let other nations deal with their own problems. I'm ready to see some money back in MY pocket for a change....I think Ron Paul could put us on track to do just that....he is not the complete/total answer to many of our problems, but it would be a step in a totally different direction.
