Gloves off doesn’t cover it. More like knives out and sharpened for the stretch run.
Mitt unleashes another attack ad on Huckabee citing Condi’s “ludicrous” line (though not perhaps as she meant it). One of Huckabee’s new ads calls his “opponents” (wonder who) “desperate and dishonest” but he wants a real debate, you know, for the kids.

Romney had a gift under the tree (a grenade?) for McCain in the form of a NH ad on taxes and immigration. But did he bring a knife to a gunfight? McCain ad responds with a blistering recitation of editorial opinions on Mitt (phony? ouch) that the governor thinks is (at least) a step over the line.

Huckabee puts Pakistan and illegal immigration together and comes up with a stew that may have a little too much salt. He also defended McCain’s honor in light of Mitt attack ad. Enemy of my enemy?
And Rudy wants to be part of the conversation (didn’t anyone notice the 9/11 ad?) but since he is not a player in the early states he is having a hard time.
Dems still debating Pakistan. Did Axelrod cross the line? Obama says it is HRC’s campaign’s fault. Does HRC know anything more about foreign policy that what she learnt at tea time?

Talk about knives out and nastiness, Fox News is excluding Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul from their January 6, 2008, NH Republican candidate roundtable.
People are so outraged that they are selling and shorting parent company News Corp’s stock (symbol: NWS): http://www.pledgebank.com/DumpNewsCorp

This press release has just gone out. If true, I find it outrageous that Dr. Paul be excluded. What a distortion of the political process! The public has little opportunity to learn about these candidates, how arrogant of you to try and decide for us before any voting has even taken place.
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.
“Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited.”
Snyder continued, “Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event.”
“Ron Paul Excluded From Fox News Forum”
Why?
Because he raised more money than any other Repub candidate?
Is he really that big a threat to the mainstream. (Is Fox mainstream?)
So many questions. So few answers.
Fox should rename their political section “We decide for you” 2008
“You can choose from Romney, Huckabee, Hillary,Rudy, Obama or Edwards…maybe McCain…the other candidates DONT exist because we said so……….” We only want you to vote for candidates that can generate some easy news for us…so we can keep our jobs” “And no “peeking” on the internet for the real information on real candidates…did we mention that we hate the internet??”
Fox news wants the war to continue and the economy to continue to fail……it’s great for “We choose news” business.
Roughly 19 million dollars was raised for one candidate…..4.2 million dollars in one day(record breaking) 6 million raised in one day(record breaking) FROM average joe folks(grassroots)….not corporations or major celebrities!! This candidate has won more straw polls than ANY other candidate to date… Yet this candidate is excluded from the FOX “We Choose for You” debates. Who is that I wonder?!? Possibly, the one who could end the Iraq/Iran/Pakistan/Muslim drama for good and take care of our own country for a change?? Non-intervention and trading with others foreign policy is NOT a radical idea folks…..WAKE UP!! That means more money in OUR pockets.
How did Romney “attack” Huckabee and McCain? He simply brought up their record as McCain and Huckabee have done the same to Romney. I believe Romney has defended and explained his record at length on many different media outlets. Why haven’t we heard an explanation from McCain and Huckabee on the questions Mitt has brought up on their records? Why do they have to shift focus off of their record and get away with comments like “Mitt’s being dishonest” or “Mitt is in a tailspin and it shows”? I’m still waiting on answers from McCain and Huckabee on their record.
I am glad Romney is contrasting the difference in the candidates. I fact checked his ads using independent articles, records, etc… and Romney is dead on. Dont just trust the ads check it out yourself but stay away from any pro Huck or Romney sites. Stick to factual articles etc..
Huckabee is a fraud and sides on liberal tactics.
McCain great man with poor political choices.
Romney assured my vote by proving his record and disproving Huck and McCains.
Show us your record that disproves Romneys ad which he has your record to prove or face the truth……Huck is a liberal fraud.
Mr Huckabee mentioning anything about illegal immigration is really unsettling to me. If I remember correctly the Reverend Huckabee said that whoever opposed the Ted Kennedy Amnesty Bill did so out of “nativism and racism”. Those are quotes, because that is exactly what Mr Huckabee said.
As I remember most Conservatives opposed the amnesty bill because of a belief in the rule of law and we knew the border would NOT be secured….just as it wasn’t in the 80’s amnesty bill.
My family, friends and I do not appreciate Mr Huckabee saying we are “racist” because we stood up against Kennedy/McCain and Lindsey Graham…no thank you to Reverend Huckabee…I get falsely accused of being a racist enough from liberals in the Democrat party
Could you possibly be any more blatantly anti-Romney with your posts? Watching Carl report on the election is worse than watching MSNBC.
Mitt Romney, married to the same woman, his high school sweetheart his whole life. They worked together to raise a family and be successful. They have done both very, very well.
John McCain, like John Kerry, married his sugar momma.
Mitt Romney endorses the Bush tax cuts.
John McCain, like Hillary Clinton, was against the Bush tax cuts…no, wait, even Hillary supported them.
Mitt is a supporter of the First Amendment; whereas, John McCain with McCain/Feingold (another GOP Killing bill sponsored by McCain) put major restraints on our free speech, but gave greater protections to Native Americans (who happen to be large contributors to John since he sits on the Indian affairs committee…)
McCain/Kennedy, the bill that would have given permanent, legal status to all illegal aliens was opposed by Mitt Romney. In John’s home state of ARizona, they recently passed a bill that will effectively rid the state of illegal aliens, without the government deporting any of these lawbreakers. The penalties on companies that hire illegal aliens is stiff enough to have caused a mass re-migration. We are a nation of laws, John looked for Washington DC solutions to the problem, which is always a temporary bandaid that his lobbyist friends (yes, a large % of John’s money is from lobbyists and corporations! look it up! federal elections committee) want him to do.
John has been in DC for far too long. And, yes, John, being President, IS a young man’s game. You would be 80 when you left office. Your mom is smart and her anti-mormon comments will probably hurt your re-election to the Senate, but she could not handle running the biggest entity on the planet, the US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
Huck? please, he is not any more presidential than Jimmy Carter, the last person elected because of his position at a church…
Mitt Romney can and will be an excellent president.
