Fred Thompson is a REAL CONSERVATIVE--pulls no punches, tells it like it is. I admit that I got caught up with the race when it started oh, so long ago! And now everyone thinks he doesnt have the stamina or oomph to pull it thru? Remember, slow and steady wins the race! If people would just check him out, REALLY check him out, they will see, just as I did, that this country needs FRED THOMPSON! I was all Mike for a while when I just didnt even care what Fred had to say--I was just like the others in the country, caught up with the race, thought the train was leaving and I needed to get on board. I hopped on the Hucka-choo-choo but Fred pulled in, blew his horn so I could take notice--and I SAW THAT HE IS THE ONLY TRUE, REAL, CLEAR CONSERVATIVE CHOICE! I jumped off Hucka-choo-choo and got aboard the FRED EXPRESS!!!!! Take another look America at the candidates again and Im sure, like myself, you will see who the CONSERVATIVE is!!

Its a RED FRED AMERICA!! GO FRED GO!!

Huckabee has now gotten upset that Thompson called him out on his actual record, so what does he do? He says Fred needs metamucil and is only criticizing him because he didn't do anything as a Senator?? Here are SOME of Fred's "actual" credentials during his 8 years, Mr. Huckabee...exactly what were yours again? (Then again, as Huckabee stated before regarding current policy in Cuba...it didn't happen in Arkansas, so you know...he just might not be aware of it. (I don't know about you, but I would hope my President at least attempts to be up to date on current affairs!)

While the other candidates were out there making promises they won't remember a few days later...he was working behind the scenes with experts hammering out his white papers. http://www.fred08.com/Principles/PrinciplesSummary.aspx?View=WhitePapers

I'm STILL waiting to see what happened to the other candidates detailed plans on what they'll do to implement their own ideas (or ahem...campaign promises that never see the light of day) They've all been running long enough...(much longer than Fred), so shouldn't they be expected to have had SOME substance by now??

Also...it's refreshing when a candidate actually backs up and keeps those campaign promises they go around making...something that Fred Thompson is respected for doing. If you really don't want to stop the corruption going on in our government, then vote for whoever...Fred has shown the true leadership and it's just your normal people that want better for their children/grandchildren that felt compelled to ask Fred to step up and lead our nation. He gave up alot to do a very thankless job and I know it means a great deal to me. People everywhere are giving to his campaign....most of them have never donated to ANYONE before!! He can win and it scares the media to death because he doesn't play by their rules!! (they also say he got in "too late"...too late by exactly WHOSE standards?? No other race has ever started throwing away money as early as this one...he refused to play by their rules, which to me shows his leadership even more clearly.!!)

I would just like to say that seems like Sean Hannity is pushing for Fred Thompson.
If he thinks Fred is so smart, when he attacked Mike Huckabee during the Republican debate about Huckabee would like to see Guantanamo shut down...Well, for Old Freds information, it has been reported Sunday on Yahoo News that, The Chief Of US Military Adm. Mullens said, "I'd like to see it shut down" Mullen head of Navy noted that President Bush and Defense Secratary Of State Robert Gates have spoken publicly in closing the prison.
He favors shutting it down as soon as possible because he believes negative publicity
worldwide about treatment of terrorist has been "pretty damaging" to the image of the United States.
I think this should be put to Old Fred, to make up for how Mike Huckabee has been treated. If everyone at FoxNews is as Fair and Balanced as they claim to be, then this will be put to Fred Thompson. Mike Huckabee has a lot of supporters and if this isn't presented to Fred Thompson in defense of Mike Huckabee, then FoxNews is going to lose a lot of viewers...is Fred worth that!

Boy Karen,I believe you ht the nail on the Head at least in part..but I've been seeing Sean support Romney more than anybody else...I know He did a thing with Thompson, but all in all I think He supports whoever might take the vote away from Huckabee, depending on the state they're in...It was Romney in Iowa and New Hampshire, and now Thompson in Michigan ad South Carolina...Good Post on your part and Betty Jo's ...good to see that somebody is doing some research......As much as I dont care for Alan on that show,as of late he is the least biased...but I think there's more to that than we know if you throw in who would benefit the most between the two should Romney win

I think Fred did a good job,but ,being that He and Huckabee are playing to the same votes,He went after Mike....I don't think that helped in the state of South Carolina...I also like Mike, and think that there is a lot less worry ,than people are making out there is...A lot of what reflected on Mike was left by the Governor Mike replaced as Lt Governor...He then cut taxes quite a number of times, and it is true that the people voted for a lot of the spending...for roads etc.,which Mike got a lot of national recognition for as being good...He really helped bring the State up to snuff.....On the other had Romney's avenues to accomplish things in Mass.were very suspect
I agree with Rick's summation to a point, and thank him for pointing to some of the things He did in his comment
I'm not sure I totally agree with who you endorse, but I'm strongly agree with you on the ones you don't endorse.Romney's reputation as" slick Mitt "precedes Him,and Rudy is starting too late, concentrating on Florida,I think McCain will be a factor..And I do like Fred but I didn't like the Half truths about Mike in order to get Mikes votes....but there is a need for change and I think it should come from an Honest man ...we've had enough lies from the Clintons, and don't need to travel that road again with Slick Mitt

All Republicans and conservatives should rally around Fred Thompson. Be honest, Huckabee can't win the big states, and thus can't win. And he's not a conservative. Fred is honest and knows where he stands. He doesn't wait for his handlers to tell him what to say. He's strong on the border issue and on national defense and is a true conservative in the way he supports more decisions at the state level...not the federal.

Fred Thompson's a loser!

Fox News seems to pick up the losers to support. First it was Guilani, then Mitt; now Fred!

Fred's record is horrible. He was a senator with nothing to show for a record. He was a big time lobbyist with his sons joining in. He supported the McCain Feingold bill etc. Fox seems to support him because he (they predict) could affect Huckabee's surge in the polls.

The reality is that Fox has so lost its credibility that people are skeptical of anyone it endorses and tend to vote against anyone it supports!

Fred won the debate hands down, for a while even I thought he was to cool . But I am a republican and from S.C. .
Huck better go back to the big river
Rudy go back to New York
I do like Mitt , but Freds my choice.
Paul is still in the 1930's
