Fred Thompson will address the the problem of open borders without being shrill. He often characterizes the illegal population as 12 to 20 million, which might actually be far more. Atrition
will do two important things, send millions home on their own , and discourage the 20 million likely to
Come during the DEM or RINO presidency that we may get.

Maybe I'm missing something, but were any of the other candidates drafted by a strong grass-roots movement the way Fred was? Fred's attitude is the best of them all -- he doesn't want to be President, but he wants to do things that only the President can do.

Starting to generate some steam, here! It's about time the national media stood up and took notice. The more the public sees Fred Thompson and understands what he is all about, the more they will realize that he's easily the most respectable, thoughtful and genuine of the candidates. Go Fred, Go!

The only reason that McCain is electable at all is because he's as close to a democrat as a Republican can possibly get without running the risk of actually making sounds like a donkey.

Not only is Thompson the most fundamentally conservative of the candidates, he also has the experience and stature and credibility to serve as commander in chief. I have nothing against the other men running and will support the nominee, but Thompson can appeal to every faction of the Republican conservative effort -- and I worry that none of the others will be able to both mobilize the base, court the independents and hold onto the corporate and business class that currently supports Rudy and Romney.

Mike a liberal, are you nuts? Give me specific examples of what YOU think makes Mike a liberal. It's clear you don't know what you are talking about and if you lived in Arkansas you would have absolute clarity on this. You would have seen the many newspaper articles citing how the Democrats fought him on tax cuts. You would have seen first-hand the road mess we were in due to the declining road conditions and it was WE the voters in Arkansas that agreed to a gas tax increase, a couple of pennies per gallon, something that never happens in a blue collar state like Arkansas so clearly it was seen as a necessity. As for park and tourism fees, our parks and tourism fees are the lowest in the nation and before Huckabee was in office, the parks were being neglected. Those that come to our state can see first-hand the improvements. I call that good governance and the increased tourism resulting from these improvements only help to drive more money AND JOBS into our state, smart business.

Tax incentives for bringing in business and good trade practices, once again good governance. There are several tax cuts e.g. marriage tax, capital gains taxes, an overall lowering of the graduated tax system here in Arkansas that also translates to more to each of our pocketbooks. I have personally seen my state income tax lowered by over well over a thousand dollars. I use to pay in and now I get money back. Oh, and by the way, Mike was also dealing with a federally mandated requirement to increase state funding for education. Mike had no choice but to incease funding and the budget was gutted by the previous adminstration so it wasn't like he had a lot of options.

So just exactly where do you come off with Mike being a liberal...don't go there...
