Its so sickening to watch McCain and his liberal cronies present him as a conservative Republican. If he wins the nominaton, I am going to vote for a democrat in Nov. Four of our other friends have said that they will not vote for him either. Unlike McCain, Obama has integrity, and presents himself with presidental manners and does not hoist his pants up when he's on the podium. McCain is not going to live much longer - he's too decrepid. He can't even sit still for 5 min ! My husband and I are both registered Republicans but that liberal liar and amesty liberal will not get our vote. We were registered democrats 10 years ago before they became representatives for illegals and blacks and every other ACLU cause. Kennedy is going to get his causes thru either way. All those dear supporters for McCain just need a job. We are not fooled.

Carl,

Your making comments against Mitt Romney right and left. You are showing you bias, not FAIR AND BALANCED. You need to educate yourself on the voting records of McCain and you will see just how liberal he votes. Here are a few issues that are close to the conservatives heart.

McCain voted yes on prohibiting same-sex marriage, 1996, but, said he would be comfortable with a gay president , 1999, then voted no on a constitutional ban of same-sex marriage in 2006, and said a ban on same sex marriage is unRepublican, leave it to the states. Romney put gay mariage ban into Gop party platform, 2005, voted for constitutional amendment defining 1-man-1-woman marriage , 2007, and said marriage is a sacred institution, between a man and a woman, 2007.

McCain voted to expand embryonic stem cell research 2004, and voted yes on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines and supported federal funding, 2007. Romney vetoed stem cell research bill, 2005, and chose altered nuclear transfer instead of embryonic stem cells, 2007, said stem cell research lofty goals don't justify destroying life, 2007.

McCain says decisions on teaching evolution should be made locally, 1999. Believes in evolution; but sees the hand of God in nature, 2007. Romney
said I believe Jesus is savior of mankind & son of God, and the bible is the word of God, 2007. Constitution is explicit: no religious test for presidency, 2007, and no church authorities will exert influence on my decisions, 2007.

McCain says he wants Roe vs. Wade, overturned, but would not repeal it, 1999, but (now) says he supports repealing Roe v. Wade, May 2007. McCain also says abortion is still okay if raped; and no testing for rape, 2000. Romney said personally against abortion, but left it as pro-choice as governor, 2002. Firmly pro-life, 2006, said it was a two step process: overturn Roe; then change hearts and minds. Romney said he would be delighted to sign a federal ban on ALL abortions, 2007.

McCain voted for amnesty for 12 million illegals in country now, 2007, and voted yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security, 2006. MCain says there should be no official English, native american can use own languages, 2007. Romney said make English national language, immigrants can use their own language too, 2007. Romney said enforce the law against 12 million illegals here now, 2007.

McCain on Homeland Security says waterboarding is torture, to close Guantanamo Bay prison, announce no-torture policy, 2007. Romney says double Guantanamo, use military and diplomatic actions to defeat Jihadist, not wise for us to describe our interrogation techniques, 2007.

McCain Voted against Bush administration tax cuts. Romney has a history as governor of cutting taxes, and pledges not to raise taxes, 2007.

McCain voted no on Bush Administration Energy Policy, 2003, and voted yes on banning drilling in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge, 2005. Romney said develop alternative energy, but also drill in ANWR 2006. Romney - No Regrets policy: biofuel, nuclear power, drill ANWR, 2007.

If you believe that the other candidates still in this race are there because they were voted for by CONSERVATIVES....you're in for a rude awakening very soon. Fred Thompson was and still is the best choice to lead this country and I will WRITE him in if I need to.

Here's something that opened up my eyes to all those "independent" votes that have been taking place so far
http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/11/mock-the-vote/index.html?ex=1358053200&en=b75bcb36b121dd60&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

"Both the Byzantine nature of the Michigan presidential primary — as well as the crucial importance of the January 15 contest — were underscored by the news that one of Mike Huckabee’s major boosters in the primary is actually supporting Barack Obama for President. State Rep. LaMar Lemmons of Detroit, a Democrat and African-American, recently unveiled ‘Democrats for Huckabee’ to urge crossover votes for the former Arkansas governor January 15.
“Some Democrats are urging Democrat voters to vote uncommitted, which would allow any delegates to be won later in the year,” notes the marketing-manager-turned-blogger Dan Riehl at Riehl World View. “But why preserve democracy when you can jumble a Republican race. Don’t look for the polls to be too accurate in Michigan. Or for the results to necessarily mirror Republican voters desires.”"

How about a real Stimulus for America.

1. Offer a 90 day window for anyone to make any purchase up to $50,000 that will be tax deductible. This purchase is a one time offer and must be purchased within the next 90 days.

2. For the long term corporate stimulus; offer a 10% tax credit on any American made new machinery and a 5% tax credit for the purchase of any used equipment.

3. For the family make the interest paid on Auto, furniture and appliance loans deductible.

These are 3 simple steps that will turn around our economy immediately and permanently. The best part is that it costs the tax payer nothing.

How do you explain the polls showing Ron Paul in last in Nevada but then he came in 2nd? How about showing some love to the doctor instead of trying to smear him.

Don't dare anoint McAmnesty.. true conservatives dont wont this man. He belongs retired to Shady Pines along with Kennedy and Reid.
Hopefully, all real conservatives can understand that Mc has too many skeltons and seemingly never listens to the constituents that put him there. This man takes his marching orders from Kennedy and the other dems plain and simple.. I'm ashamed frankly, that Reid is from Nv., talk about a bumbler when someone speaks. Ensign stays, Reid goes next time he comes up for election.

Fairandbalanced,
I love the idea of Romney/Gingrich! Great thinking on your part! I hope Mitt takes notice of this!
As for those who think the popular vote should replace the Electoral vote, let me remind you,the
three largest States could run the country and the rest of us could just stay home on election day!
Our Forefathers knew very well what they were doing when it comes to Democracy!!!
