Romney MLK Day Meet and Greet

Three separate staffers from a Republican campaign, which asked not to be identified, inquired as to whether or not Mitt Romney’s impromptu “who let the dogs out” might stir controversy. Looks like he was having fun. At one point today he approached a woman with a baby in her arms and noticing the child’s gold chain, marveled at the “BLING, BLING”.

I watched the video, and am wondering if I missed something, because it all seemed quite innocent to me.

Mitt is the man with the plan for the economy. Nobody can touch his economic credentials. Considering the mess that we are in financially, we need Mitt now more than ever.

Florida will make the same choice that Wyoming, Nevada and Michigan made, each overwhelmingly voting for the smartest, most experienced candidate, Mitt Romney.

Fix it Mitt!

Who Let The Dogs Out Dance Remix

Comment by Rae

My son is a 28 year old musician (not too much unlike Mitt Romney’s son Craig) who heard the “Who let the dogs out – who” comment. He smiled and said, “You can tell he has kids and grand kids. He’s hip to what they like.” We are a multiracial family. My son has black, brown and white nieces and nephews, and he knows that they all like to sing that particular phrase. They’re kids. They laugh and giggle and cut up together. It’s one musical phrase that they ALL know, and one that grandpa knows too. That, and the term “bling-bling” are wonderful pieces of American pop culture that are broadly recognized among people of all races and economic situations in America. The way Mitt Romney used those phrases is, in fact, the way our family talks and plays with our own kids. Romney’s children and grandchildren seem to be a fun-loving bunch. They act like normal kids. Mitt Romney seems to know what makes kids smile. I would expect that from a man with grandchildren. If he didn’t know how to talk to kids like that, I would be question whether he ever spent any time with them.

Are you kidding me? Is this for real? Can’t you find some real news to fill these pages with?

Wow…must have been a slow media day for you Carl! This appears to be just the same garbage that you find on Entertainment Tonight. A real journalist wouldn’t lower themselves to print this type of shallow garbage. And you wonder why media has gotten such a bad name…

Hey, Carl, there is another good video for Mitt. These are some “Mitten’s”, girls swooning for Mitt. http://youtube.com/watch?v=dN96eZu9v2A

Seems pretty patronizing. I guess Mitt hasn’t had his black culture computer chip updated recently.

Mitt is has the best “economic credentials”? How so? He might be a good businessman, but that doesn’t mean he understand economics. I don’t even know any of his views on real economics, as I’m sure he’s not familiar with any real theory.

Fix this Mitt!!! The man is full of $ and BS–did his daddy walk with Mr. King? Plastic man, get lost!!! Mitt is a robot created by a cult of sameness and that breeds insanity.

Comment by nearlynormalized

Mitt can’t fix the mess that the George and his friends created, he is a robot of the cult of sameness and it gets boring looking at that plastic smile and the BS he is throwing our way. Did your daddy really walk with Mr. King? Please how many Blacks are involved in the Mormon cult? The only people of color are the people that hold up signs for this toy.

I was afraid when I saw that, that it would be used against him. It has been. Anderson Cooper and one of the other CNN female anchors ragged on him big time. Thanks Carl, for doing your best to undermine one of the best hopes for the GOP. Romney has so much great going for him. Couldn’t you find something more important to show and to write about? These types of negative efforts can have a strong negative impact on those voters who don’t really pay attention to the details. Romney has presented very strong information on his economic plan and obviously knows theory. I’m amazed when someone says they don’t know what he stands for. They obviously don’t listen. So it’s these types of people who base their decision on sound bites and video clips. Please Carl, stop with the bias reporting and return to professional unopinionated journalism.

Are,we going to let this guy lead us around like we have rings in our noses. He buy’s up companes and downsizes them putting people out of work, then hides his and his friends money in accounts in the Caymen islands, and we’re supposed to think He’s what we need to spruce up the economy…..I don’t think soooooooo What I do think i that instead of listenng to His and his followers remarks,we should take the time to look a little deeper into this guy’s past……Hearing what you want to hear, told by somebody that knows what you want to hear, doesn’t always result in you hearing the truth,I’ve took the time, and found out, that this guy is a polotician and they lie

This is the first anti-Romney piece I’ve seen on Fox News in the last 4 months. And this was the best you could do??

Question: How come Fox frequently introduces a news item about Mike Huckabee by saying: “Former Baptist Pastor Mike Huckabee…” and not “former Arkansas GOVERNOR [for 10 years] Mike Huckabee….”

AND YET…. you never introduce Mitt Romney by saying, “former president of 14 Mormon congregations, Mitt Romney….”

See the following article from TIME magazine:
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1619552,00.html

>>Romney was bishop of a ward, or congregation, and eventually president of a stake in Boston, meaning he was responsible for 14 wards with a total of some 3,000 members. Women cannot serve in priestly roles, nor could African Americans until a new revelation brought a change of policy in 1978. Should Romney have to account for such church practices? When he married Ann, a Mormon convert, in 1969 in the temple in Salt Lake City, her family could not attend the ceremony since only Mormons are allowed inside. A separate ceremony was held for “gentiles,” as non- Mormons are called.<<

you people who use Romneys relbon against him, should lok at all the christian cults. There is no religon on this eath that doesn’t have faults and ones who use them just to satisfie there own beliefs

Lynn,

What you may not understand about Mormons is that we don’t have a hired or paid clergy. We are all volunteers and every member has a specific duty to perform in their ward or stake. Huckabee, by contrast, was a pastor by trade. He received a salary from his church. His education was in theology, specifically to become a pastor. Romney on the other hand simply performed his church service the way we believe Christ intended his saints to do – selflessly and without payment or thought of reward; simply with the desire to help move the work of God forward. This is not a knock on other Christian churches, since they do the same and the best they can with their interpretation of the Bible, but this is simply an explanation for why Romney’s church service is not part of his career record. However, it is a good indication of how firmly he holds to his faith.

Gentiles are considered any group not directly descending from Jacob who was renamed Israel. This is perfectly laid out in the Bible for you. We also believe as Jesus’ apostles taught that, by being baptized in Christ’s name and accepting His atonement for their sins, people outside of the direct lineage of Israel are literally adopted into the House of Israel, or in other words the Kingdom of God. I am of the tribe of Ephraim, who was the son of Joseph, who was the son of Jacob. Jesus and the Jews are from the tribe of Judah, who was Joseph’s older brother.

Go to http://www.mormon.org to get the truth on what Romney and Mormons actually believe.

And then vote for MITT ROMNEY because his platform and the career and life he has lead makes him the best candidate for President.

Incredible. Once again the news fails to report anything! No wonder these candidates spend so much money on advertising, because the media “reports” garbage! I’d really like to know WHAT Mitt Romney is speaking to people about, I find that with the other candidates but I can’t find anything on Romney except the general page and his website. Why can’t the press give anything more? Is it because he is mormon? Do they really feel that threatened by his religion?

And Lynn, I think you are right, Fox and other news are wrong to report Huckabee a”former baptist preacher”. That is ridiculous. I have heard worse of Romney though. At least they aren’t attacking his Baptist roots. Good grief people, a little religious tolerance here please! I would appreciate it if people would leave religion alone. Ok, everyone knows Romney is mormon. If you have questions about mormons go check out their website or talk to one of their missionaries, otherwise, leave it alone press AND Lynn for that matter. I think what matters with Romney is that he is religious, he is a God fearing man, just like the other candidates, so why bring up religion any further?? Please people, let it rest.

What a great personality! You can tell Mitt was having a great time being himself. You can also tell that he knows how to be around kids of all ages. He really is a natural. That is super! What a great video clip!

Lynn- You should be ashamed of yourself. What century are you living in? Your bigotry and hatred is disgusting! I can guarantee you one thing…Romney would never be so disrespectful of your personal spiritual beliefs.

As far as Mike Huckabee. HE is the one who has pushed, and pushed, and pushed his credentials as a former Baptist minister. He was recently in Houston and who do you think he met with…The local area Pastors, behind closed doors no less. Wierd don’t you think, for a guy who is not running a campaign based on his relegion.

Please don’t be so ignorant. It is annoying. Honestly, bigots are so hateful.

All I’ve heard on fox news is how much Mitt has spent here in Florida, but it seams pretty strange to me that all I see on fox news is John McCains adds, I have not sean any othe canidates add on the fox news, seams to me they must have struck a deal with Mr. McCain, fair&Balanced in no way

My family loves the song, to this day. My kids and their friends love it. So what if it’s a few years old…. It looks like he is having fun and the people around him are too. If he had done something objectively offensive, I think there might have been some different reactions from those in attendance. Romney has fun and people around him are having fun too. That is good to see. Rarely is such positive news about Romney reported. Keep it up but lose the absolutely useless spin. It hurts your integrity.
