Mr. Cameron you should try to at least not so grossly show your bias for the Republican party as you are a journalist, or does the fact that your wife worked for George Bush's re-election campaign cancel all that?

Fred Thompson was not ever thinking of being a serious candidate? Funny how people want to help themselves more than they really care about this country. Washington is broken.

I have always enjoyed your reporting. However, I watched you interview Mitt Romney & John McCain after the State of the Union address and was quite frankly shocked at your overt bias toward John McCain. Perhaps you have been demonstrating this before tonight and I haven't seen your reports. But tonight, you were quite blatant about your preference and completely unprofessional in your balance of questioning. I am from Texas and haven't had to commit to a candidate yet. But who are you to try and influence voters? This is what the New York Times, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, etc. do - not Fox News and particularly you. You must have been on John McCain's bus tour too long. When you interviewed Romney, you had sharp questions and repeatedly verbalized talking points for John McCain. Yet with Joh McCain, you threw out soft-ball questions - and never delved into one of the biggest stories of the day - McCain's outright distortion about Romney and the Iraq withdrawal non-statement. In fact, you allowed him to perpetuate it. McCain's accusation has been discounted by even the most liberal people in the media. So why did you let it go with no accountability. Shame on you Carl Cameron. We deserve better. I expected better from you. Hold all of them accountable - but do it fairly. Don't show your favoritism. You're not doing your job properly.

I would like to see a Romney/Thompson ticket. Romney has shown he can organize and run a campaign and Fred has strong conservative credentials and a working knowledge of Washington.

The contrast between a Romney/Thompson team and an Obama/Edwards (or Hillary/?) team would be very apparent. The difference in experience and competence would be obvious. It would come down to a battle of competent experience against hype. I have a dream and a promise for you after you get laid-off against I have an answer and can help you keep your job.

I would take those odds in a general election. (Its a whole lot better than I opposed my own party versus I am the great unifier.)

It is a very sad day when the country had a chance for the Right President at the Right time, that we now have lost our chance to support him. Fred Thompson is what the Republican Party as well as the country needed in order to get back to what the founding fathers saw for this country.

Credibility: Fred Thompson vs. Carl Cameron?

One's lying self-aggrandizing unprofessional hack who puts on a fair and impartial facade in front of a camera while reading scripted lines -- and the other is an ex-Presidential candidate.

I believe Fred, not Carl and his assorted group of unnamed sources (from an opposing campaign?)

Geez, Carl -- yes, Fred did your friend Jim Mills wrong and that was a stupid move. But to let that interfere with how YOU do YOUR job is just unprofessional. Get counseling and grow up.
