I am wondering what is happening to the conservative GOP party!!! John MaCain is a moderate conservative, and that scares me. If he makes it I'm afraid that he will walking down the isle and holding hands with the Kennedy's and the Fienstines. Talk about flipflopping he is a pro at it. Where is "Newtgh" Since he is not available, I put me trust in Romney more than MaCain. I am just a poor American in the poverty level but still belive strongly in GOP ideals. I am 70 yrs. old have always been a Republican and will remain one until am gone.

Hey Carl - that's 6th BOROUGH, not BURO. I'm inclined to agree with the person identified as "Confused." If you're responsible for reporting in print, please try to be coherent and accurate in spelling and grammar. It's not that hard.

Is it true that Rupert Murdoch is considering changing the name of FOX News Channel to ROMNEYVISION?

Has anyone out there in the world heard anyone on FOX even mention candidates besides Romney or McCain? I have never seen Fox so in the tank in all my years of watching the network.

Romney supported legalized baby killing in MASS with tax dollars yet the FOX SHILLS still try to paint him as a conservative. How much LSD is in their KOOL AID?

I see Mitt Romey as a very presidential, honest, principled and smart individual. I believe that he has incredible credentials -- the best of any candidate that is currently running. (Thompson would have been my first choice). He would not bring the detainees out of Guantomano into this country as would McCaine, which would be a very big mistake. He promises tax cuts, and I believe him. He may have changed some of his stands in the past, but not nearly as recently and as many as McCaine. Mitt Romney has a hard time lowering himself to the nasty, caustic jabs that McCaine is throwing around. He obviously has to defend himself against the lies McCaine is constantly repeating against him, but being the very polished man that he is, it's difficult for him and I hope that folk can see this. McCaine Finegold, Gang of Fourteen, and voting against Bush tax cuts should be a big red flag for Republicans!!

McClain is still on the US payroll as a US Senator and wants to be known for his loyality to the USA. And he has the nerve to seek my vote so he can give personally the State of the Union address next year. And he refuses to attend this year to support a Republican President!!!! Washington is broken. The Senate should send McClain to Arizona on a one way ticket since it is too difficult to recall this non working--salary taker--senator.

It will be a sad day for America and our party when and if John McLying is nominated. But I think Floridians can see thru all his lies and will not vote for him. I would rather have someone that have sincerely changed his mind and matured in his way of thinking about an issue such as Governor Romney than someone who thinks he can lie in our face (John McLying) and tell us he is a conservative when his actions show the opposite (we all know his positions on key issues).

Wake up John we are not stupid, we know where you stand and what you stand for.

At this point in the Florida race a vote for Giulliani or Huckabee is a vote for McCain, let’s be smart and vote for Governor Mitt Romney a true conservative and successful businessman.

We should be thankful Mitt is running and is willing to invest his own fortune for a better America!

I have tried sending this earlier and it just disappeared. I have watched with interest the conflict between McCain and Romney. Romney's responses remind of the LDS missionaries that appear at my door from time to time. Much the same dialog, double talk, cirular reasoning, and verbal dodge ball. I find it also interesting that in areas of supposed conflict, the LDS church is using a woman as spokes person. I guess it makes it easier for the LDS church to claim that the woman does not officially speak for the church. One last comment, I do resent Mr Romney claiming to be a Christian...that is like standing in a garage and calling yourself a Chevy. Nothing that the LDS church teaches resembles Biblical Christianity, and yes, they do believe that Jesus is spirit brother of Satan...check out their web sit.

National security is vitally important to this country. The most important factor on national security, IS THE ECONOMY.

One thing everyone who feels national security is vitally important should remember. Our national security depends heavily on a national defense which is heavily dependent on how much money we have to spend on it. The same is true with our internal security measures. Without the tax revenues a vibrant economy generates we can not have the military we need.

About McCain being a leader, he's a sorry excuse for a leader. His temperament is flawed, he's a hot head and not very intelligent. He has absolutely no significant leadership experience. Having been a POW qualifies as hero, not leadership. He is a member of a group of Senators, and has never held an executive type position, unless it was committee head, which doesn't amount to much.

As for national defense experience, what he has is largely tokens in the area. He's been a POW ... does being an X prisoner qualify one to be attorney general? He has not much for qualification. He was one of many military, not in any significant real leadership role which would qualify his as commander in Chief. He finished 5th from last in his war college class, not much of an endorsement of even a natural aptitude in the area to start with.

Reagan was about the best we have ever had as a Commander in Chief. He accomplished more in the world than any other modern day president. What were his qualifications? He was a governor, a great leader, and a visionary. McCain has been none of these. He is a panderer to public opinion, and a disaster in the area of national defense in the way those self serving idiot politicians were when they made Vietnam a bureaucratic hell on earth for those serving there in consideration only of their own popularity and electability, just as McCain has done.

McCain's claim to own the national defense issue is derived solely for the reason that he's been around it. He has no special qualification, and everything we know about McCain tells us he would not be a good man for the job of Commander in Chief, let alone any other qualifications for Chief executive of our country.
