Final Smackdown…..As voters wrap up voting…..

Prepare for a late night in Florida. Romney and McCain are splitting within the margin of error. In the final hours of campaigning, often at polling stations, McCain took one final swipe at Romney, blaming him for the negative campaigning.

Hear what he says as reported by Shus Walshe, our intrepid Romney embed producer

Romney got in a gentle jab, “One of the candidates running out there said the economy is not his strong suit. Well, it’s my strong suit!” He also reminded supporters at his only event of the day, almost as an afterthought, to get out there and vote.

According to the Florida Republican Party 1.5 million republicans could turn out to vote NOT including absentee and early voters. It could take upward of half a million votes to cinch those crucial 57 electoral votes for one of the contestants.

It’s winner take all, 57 delegates! Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani are battling for third.

McCain is such a sleazy liar. He claims Romney supported (binding) timetables which is a twist of the truth. Then, Romney calls him out on it, and McCain claims he’s being attacked. I was able to at least hold my nose for the guy if he came out on top until the past week of his actions and nasty behavior. He’s very transparent, you can see the attitude in him easily.

I do not agree with the characterizations of Mitt Romney’s ads as being ‘attack ads’ when he is simply addressing McCain’s liberal record in Washington.

One thing I strongly despise was McCains’ last minute mistruth, or was it an outright lie, claiming Romney had said he had favored setting timetables in Iraq. I remember when Mitt Romney had made the comments and knew it was not true. It also has been investigated in the last couple of days and verified as not true.

Carl Cameron asked McCain about the accusation on Monday night and McCain continued with the falsehood. Not calling McCain on it made Carl look rather weak and uninformed in my opinion.

I think John McCain is one lousy candidate for attacking Romney and then blaming Romney for the nasty attacks. McCain started it and then lied on top of that. If McCain is the Republican nominee I can’t cast a vote for some one who is so sleazy and has no ethics or morals not to mention too old. He talks down to Romney like Romney is a no body. He may still get his just dues.

To the Comment by Evaluationist:
If you listen to the entire comments made by Romney, you will see that…although he did indeed discuss timetables, he did not say that Bush should set a timeline to have the troops withdrawn (as McCain has incorrectly stated). Romney said that of course, he would expect that Bush and advisors would be discussing timetables (as a method to manage things) and that these would be behind the scenes for their own purposes…not revealed as mandatory timelines that will be issued and that must be followed. He was simply reinforcing his support for Bush’s management of it. This is the problem with not listening to the entire content of things. And especially since Romney has explained the comments in their intended context, it is irresponsible of McCain to push it and insist that Romney meant something different. It is blatant dishonesty…my friends.

Pathetic. Fox claims fair and balanced coverage and their banner proudly flys “You Decide”, bull. In this article you find these candidates mentioned: Whisperfed Romney, Mc”Walking”Cain, Chuckle Huck, and Rudy Rubble. Hmm, is this fair and balanced to Dr. Ron Paul? Can I decide on which candidate I support when articles such as this one conveniently exclude a candidate? RP speaks from the heart and thick with conviction…that would be a real change in the WH. A president that can actually speak on issues from memory rather than reading something a speech writer gave him or an aide whispered.
