My husband and I are both Republicans but we voted for Obama as a vote against Hillary…others in line we know were doing the same. We think that’s why the numbers are “surprising” for Obama/Huckaby..it was we Republicans, confident in McCain, who used the ballot box against Hillary. It’s called an 08 right wing conspiracy!

Lets see, No canidate agressivley challenged mcCain’s record( except Romney)+ New yorks mayor dropping out and endorsement+ His alliance with with huckabee(hatred of romney)+ That trick huckabee and mcLair and Huckabee played on romney in west V. + McCains household name+ arnlods endorsement+ endorsement of gov crist and sentator martinez in flordia+ McLair telling lies about romneys record concerning”times lines” with iraq two days before primary. Equals a winning formula! “phew that was hard!

Please folks, think before you vote! A few years ago John McCain supported a gun control law here in Oregon and helped get it passed. Along with his other projects, is he the person we really want to preside over this country? I’ll never vote for this man and I hope and pray there are more of us out there.

Full disclosure: I can’t vote in the USA because I am Canadian. Nevertheless, I follow things fairly closely and…
McCain is much more conservative than the media portrays. His past flirtations with Democrats may offend some conservatives, but his message in this campaign has been solid.
For those who hate McCain so much that they will vote for Hillary (or Obama), give your head a shake. McCain will be the conservative candidate in the November election. He will stick up for conservative ideals. He will prevent the crazy-progressive agenda from creeping in. If you want universal health care, Hillary is probably your best bet. John McCain certainly won’t allow it.
If he has to compromise on some things, then I think he will have also won something else for the conservative cause and things will get done which is good for everyone.
If there is one Presidential candidate who has the hope of drawing those across the aisle to his side, I believe McCain is that person. Reagan did that too and that was terrific.
He was not my first choice for the Republican nomination, but now that I think about it he should have been.

As a veteran I would not vote for John McCain.
If Daddy or Grandpa were not Admirals, he would have washed out of Naval Flight Training.
When he was shot down the standard of conduct was “Give name, rank and serial number only.” Because of McCain’s and others failure to live up to that standard, the standard was changed rather than have mass courts-martial.

I believe veterans should be judged by what they do after returning home.
McCain divorced his wife to marry a younger woman.
McCain-Feingold.
McCain-Kennedy.
McCain-Lieberman.
I have voted Republican for 28 years, but this election has reminded me that before Abraham Lincoln, the Republicans were a 3rd Party.
