I sure hope that John McCain chooses Mitt Romney as his VP. That way, when they lose miserably in November, we can get back to electing Conservatives to represent Republicans instead of Mavericks and Flip-Floppers.

IF A PASTOR IS KNOWN BY THE COMPANY THEY KEEP!
When the Rev. William Procanick put his hand on the Bible during his
sex-abuse trial in Oneida County Court earlier this year, he swore to
tell the whole truth And nothing but the truth. But as the former
Clinton Pastor was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for
Inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl at his Home last March, Judge
Michael L. Dwyer said Procanick Sacrificed his honesty the day he
testified.
Okay, so now that Bill and Hillary Clinton's pastor Has been convicted
of child molestation, will we see the Same furor directed at Hillary
that Obama has had to Endure these last few weeks?
IF A CANDIDATE IS KNOWN BY TH E PASTOR THEY KEEP ......
Then you u need to email this article to everyone you Know. Here the
CLINTON'S Pastor is convicted of child Molestation. So, if Obama bears
the guilt for his pastor's comment; then Hillary has to be equally
tainted by this man's crimes.
GIVES NEW MEANING TO SHOE ON THE OTHERS FOOT...

First I have to say I wasn't the biggest fan of Fox News, However I became one because Fox News was the only one looking into this man Mr. Obama who is going for the biggest Job in America. For that I Thank You and have lost a lot of Respect for the other so called networks that are suppose to report the news, not their own "Opinions".
Now I would like to add though, along with this mans choice of Associates, that I find Appalling! I also think those who believe he Didn't know what this Pastor was like are Naive.!! I also find him way More Dishonest than most Politicians.

I want to jump through the screen at him when he keeps up this line of He was Raised by a Single Mother!!!!When is my question, look at his past , if and when his mother was Single (for short time) they lived with her parents. I am A Single / Widowed (their dad a Vietnam Vet succumb to PTSS in 2000) Mother who is suffering from Lupus & Fibromyalgia , I struggle daily trying to feed and maintain a roof for my children. I pray nightly to keep the rented roof over our head! I go without a lot to insure my children eat. That is a Single Mother!!!

Living with ones parents where you pay no Rent and you have other sources to buy things for and care for your Children does not Constitute Single Mother!!

It is a Slap in the Face to all of us truly Single Mothers out here Struggling Daily for this man to run that line " I am one of you , I was raised by a Single Mother"!!

Obama & Michele were on TV talking how they weren't Elitist!! He stated " we struggled to pay off our student loans and uhh uhhh uhhh we struggled to find adequate Daycare uhuh uhh " (then subject change). If we could all be so lucky to have that be the basis of our struggles!!

I don't begrudge anyone who works hard and has what they have, I do begrudge those that do have and stand up and lie and claim to be someone or somewhere they have never really been!!
                                                                                                                                                           Sincerely,

Recently Barak Huss…ein Obama was talking to supporters of Planned Parenthood. He stated young women, to include at some point his daughters, should not be burdened with the birth of a child based on a mistake they made. Obama was stating his support for a program to abort babies called Planned Parenthood.

In the last few days, a group of Black pastors stated that Planned Parenthood was a program in part supported by white “racists” and provided for the genocide of Blacks … could they be saying Obama is wrong when he supports this Abortion Program. Why didn’t they attack Obama for his support of this program?

Let us look at the numbers and the underlying problem:

1. Today, 69.9 percent (this equates to about 2 out of every 3) of Black children are born out of wedlock … this compares to 36.9 percent (this equates to about 1 out of every 3) of all children being born out of wedlock.

2. Most of these Black women and their children born out of wedlock will now live off of numerous government funded programs to support themselves and these children (government subsidized living quarters of various forms, food programs, medical programs, schools, etc.).

3. What does this mean? It means that tax payers are now funding a large part of the support for approximately two thirds of Black children born today. Some of these dollar amounts are so large that our great congressman and government agencies managing these programs don’t even want to give us a dollar number as to the cost.

4. The government, as typically happens, has no idea how to deal with this problem. So they take their typical approach … spend more money to deal with the consequences of the problem, do nothing to deal with the problem.

So do we applaud Obama for his support of Planned Parenthood, and as Senator Obama stated, “don’t burden these young women with unwanted children because of a mistake they made”, or, do we address the concerns of those Black pastors that stated within the last couple of days that “white racists” are committing genocide against Blacks? Oh, before you answer, also take into consideration that the government only contributed approximately $300,000,000 dollars to Planned Parenthood in the last year.

If you go back to my last post - the second paragraph- you'll remember that I started off by saying:

"Ok, a couple of random thoughts..." This should have been a clue that what I was about to say didn't necessarily relate directly to the debate that Tel and I are having: which is whether McCain collaborated with the enemy in Vietnam. I'm certainly glad to hear your ideas; however, I addressed that last posting to Tel specifically - just to put things in context. If you are really interested in proof of McCain's collaboration, you need only read his own words.

Oh, I haven't followed the Boeing stock lately, but are you aware that John McCain's finance director left his lobbying firm that had been lobbying Airbus - and that McCain recently wrote some letters which helped stop the Boeing-Air Force air tanker contract - instead sending the deal to Airbus? Apparently McCain was not sure that there would be proper oversight if Boeing got the deal. Still, I'm not sure how oversight will be improved by sending the contract to Europe.

I've read that the contract was for 35 billion dollars - and you know how these initial budget estimates sometimes run a little low - meaning there might be more money in the deal eventually. You know you just don't get a crack at big contracts like that every day. That is - I've read estimates at - 40-44 thousand jobs across 40 states that would have been created or remained here in the U.S. - well now they are gone to Europe. Now I'm not in favor of protectionism - but I can't understand how it helps us to send all of those jobs there to Europe - I can see Boeing sub-contracting out a few parts here and there to foreign nations - but to lose the whole darn thing is not going to help the economy - well not our economy anyway. Again I am not saying the whole thing was McCain's fault - it's just that when things were looking good for Boeing on getting that contract - or at least things were somewhat up in the air - McCain went to bat for Airbus. I would have thought that we could have helped ourselves first - before bolstering up a European company - I would imagine this deal alone might hurt our currency with the euro being so strong anyway - but that is me just speculating on that last point - and maybe I'm blowing things out of proportion a little - but if you look into it - I think you'll find that I'm pretty on the money - but let me just say that I hope I am wrong when I say that it doesn't look good for our country concerning this deal.

Mitchell:

If the above is your attempt at applying logic to anything, you need to go back to school or something. Your diatribe above is one of most disjointed and feeble attempts at logic that I have ever seen. Maybe you could work on it a little and then come back and try to provide something that might come across to most readers as something in the realm of logic.

Oh, by the way, I own 100 shares of Boeing Stock ... by your logic that makes me corrupt and a part of the Military Industrial Complex.

Tel-

You take it all so personally. I can get in that mode too, a bit - but it passes pretty quickly.
Now I'm probably as left as you are right politically. Some of the things that I've learnt -
are very interesting - I certainly don't believe everything I read.

Now even though I have my opinions, I try to use logic to defuse some of the ego that gets caught up in being right and having to prove someone else wrong. I'm not above it - but I strive for knowledge. Do I have some fun and take some cheap shots? Absolutely but some things are so bizarre - one has look at them in a new way. It sounds uusual - but being wrong isn't the worst thing in the world for me - because generally if I start researching with an agenda in mind - in time I make very interesting discoveries - and then I'm more interested in the truth - and the truth can only make one more aware.

Ok, a couple of random thoughts. Now I voted for John Kerry - while researching John McCain to dig up a little dirt mainly - but hey maybe something in the hopes of finding something new - that was just different - positive or negative. First of all, it looks to me like both Kerry and McCain are pretty corrupt - which I expect from politicians. Kerry's got lots of money involved in Military Industrial Complex deals - he's also got some crooked deal with N. Vietnam and real estate - that his cousin is involved in. Again so - I was looking for dirt on McCain - I found the info about Kerry - and then I started going to some of these sites - where family members somehow got some rather unusual pictures of loved ones in camps - there are definately people that were left behind. I used to be pretty anti-gun. Now I haven't really gotten more conservative as I've gotten older - but from the way this government is going with both parties - this country is in a very scary place - and this is no time to get rid of a game if you have one - in my opinion.
Now back to are argument - but also interested in ideas that deal with our political system - but transcend this right/left division.

A few

Article V

When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

After being periodically slapped around for "three or four days" by his captors who wanted military information from him, McCain called for an officer on his fourth day of captivity. He told the officer, "O.K., I'll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital." -U.S. News and World Report, May 14, 1973 article written by former POW John McCain

McCain was taken to Gai Lam military hospital normally unavailable to American POWS. (U.S. government documents)

"Demands for military information were accompanied by threats to terminate my medical treatment if I [McCain] did not cooperate. Eventually, I gave them my ship's name and squadron number, and confirmed that my target had been the power plant." Page 193-194, Faith of My Fathers by John McCain.

McCain said (page 136) that he was so distraught because he had signed the statement that he attempted suicide but was stopped when a guard burst into the room. --The Nightingale's Song

June 1969 - "Reds Say PW Songbird Is Pilot Son of Admiral. . . Hanoi has aired a broadcast in which the pilot son of United States Commander in the Pacific, Adm. John McCain, purportedly admits to having bombed civilian targets in North Vietnam and praises medical treatment he has received since being taken prisoner." New York Daily News, June 5, 1969

*Special Bonus

Violation of the following:

Article III

If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

McCain claimed (page 133 of The Nightingale's Song, by Robert Timberg) that he was first offered early release (parole) in late June, 1968. He said that after months of interrogation he was "summoned" to a room that had soft chairs and a glass table on which were "cookies, a pot of tea, and cigarettes."

He said "Major Bai, known to the prisoners as the Cat," was waiting for him. He said "a second Vietnamese known as the Rabbit, stood by to serve as translator."

McCain said that as he "helped himself" to the cookies, tea and cigarettes...

The former POW admitted in the U.S. News and World Report article that the Vietnamese usually left other U.S. prisoners with similar wounds to die, not wishing to waste medication on them. McCain pointed out "there were hardly any amputees among the prisoners who came back because the North Vietnamese just would not give medical treatment to someone who was badly injured. They weren't going to waste their time."

The communists figured that because POW McCain's father was of such high military rank, McCain was of royalty and the governing circle. They bragged that they had captured "the crown prince" and treated him as a "special prisoner."

You take it all so personally. I can get in that mode too, a bit – but it passes pretty quickly.
Now I’m probably as left as you are right politically. Some of the things that I’ve learnt -
are very interesting – I certainly don’t believe everything I read.

Now even though I have my opinions, I try to use logic to defuse some of the ego that gets caught up in being right and having to prove someone else wrong. I’m not above it – but I strive for knowledge. Do I have some fun and take some cheap shots? Absolutely but some things are so bizarre – one has look at them in a new way. It sounds uusual – but being wrong isn’t the worst thing in the world for me – because generally if I start researching with an agenda in mind – in time I make very interesting discoveries – and then I’m more interested in the truth – and the truth can only make one more aware.

The al Qaeda and Iranian guys are hoping and cheering for their candidate … Barak Huss…ein Obama. An Obama win is a win for them … the US leaves and they will win without firing another shot.

Then again, they know they have another great supporter who also supports their friends in Hamas, another great Democratic leader by the name of Jimmy Carter.

Nick...why didn't you supply the link to the rest of the article?

Is it because McCain was only telling his captors what they wanted to hear so he could get treatment and ended up telling them nothing of any use to them? Are you trying to assert self preservation and quick wittedness on McCain's part as collaboration?

The same article you offered refutes your own claim. But that's why you didn't cut and paste the rest of it.

Here's a link with the complete article (not just the bits you selected to present a fabricated case).
