On Monday night, a 28-year-old man was killed and four others were shot at a McDonald’s restaurant in the 7600 block of South Vincennes Avenue. Wednesday’s shooting occurred near the border of the Englewood and Gresham police districts, an area heavily populated with members of the Gangster Disciples street gang.
Over the weekend, 36 people were shot and seven were killed across Chicago in what police said were primarily gang-related incidents, many in the Englewood and nearby Chicago Lawn police districts.
The afternoon crackle of gunfire in the Chatham neighborhood boosted a grim statistic: In fewer than seven days, the city has seen at least 40 shootings resulting in more than a dozen deaths.

Many of the recent shootings have been attributed to ongoing gang feuds on the South and West Sides, but Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond said Wednesday’s quintuple homicide may have been committed by “some known affiliate of the victims.”

In 2001, Obama voted against a measure that would have expanded the penalties for some gang activity to include the death penalty. The bill was vetoed by then-Gov. George Ryan (R ) not long after he had issued a moratorium on the death penalty in the state.

Obama, at the time, said the bill would unfairly target minorities, stating, “There’s a strong overlap between gang affiliation and young men of color … I think it’s problematic for them to be singled out as more likely to receive the death penalty for carrying out certain acts than are others who do the same thing.”

And in 2001, Obama voted “present” on a bill that would increase penalties for trafficking in Ecstasy and other designer drugs.

The senator questioned the length of some drug penalties when compared to other crimes, noting that selling 15 tablets of Ecstasy was a Class X felony, as was raping a woman at knifepoint.

The ad is fine–just doesn’t go far enough but in the 30 seconds you can hardly add in:
Farakhan, Rezko and Auchi, Odinga, Obonga, Ayers, Michelle, Frank Marshal (another Mentor/uncle from his book–a card carrying communist) and all the other Marxist Professors he adored. Also, Obama’s own comments issuing forth in unguarded moments like those about his “typical white person” grandmother, and his disregard for millions of middle class Americans in small towns who cling to guns and religion and have antipathy for those not like themselves.
If anyone has antipathy toward different people it is OBAMAnable!

To a large extent our friends and associates that we choose do inform our own world view. It is our personal choice of the type of persons to associate with that shows the world a microcosm of our character.

Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don’t know the last count of the dead. Obama under ‘friends of Obama’ gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in east Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn’t win and possibly cause! A race war in America.

What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 911 threat that was just the beginning. Jihad is the only true Muslim way. We have been working with them for 20 years this July. Rev. Jeremiah Wright was interviewed by loony leftist Bill Moyers (airing on PBS tomorrow) and imagine my surprise; he claims his words were twisted.

Because, you know, the best way to “twist” someone’s words is to quote them verbatim.

“I felt it was unfair,” Mr. Wright said, according to excerpts of the interview released Thursday. “I felt it was unjust. I felt it was untrue. I felt for those who were doing that, were doing it for some very devious reasons.”

In Mr. Wright’s sermons, he suggested that Americans bore some responsibility for the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, saying “America’s chickens are coming home to roost.” He also blamed the government for the spread of AIDS among African-Americans, characterized the United States government as corrupt and referred to the “U.S. of K.K.K. A.”

He did not apologize or back away from his remarks in the interview, instead saying that people wanted to paint him as “some sort of fanatic.”

“It’s to paint me as something — ‘Something’s wrong with me. There’s nothing wrong with this country … for its policies. We’re perfect. Our hands are free. Our hands have no blood on them,’” he said. “That’s not a failure to communicate. The message that is being communicated by the sound bites is exactly what those pushing those sound bites want to communicate.”

When asked what the people who aired the clips “wanted to communicate,” Mr. Wright said, “I think they wanted to communicate that I am unpatriotic, that I am un-American, that I am filled with hate speech, that I have a cult at Trinity United Church of Christ. And by the way, guess who goes to his church, hint, hint, hint? That’s what they wanted to communicate.”

Yes, that’s about right. Because it’s all true.

And Wright says Obama renounced him just for political reasons:

Mr. Obama publicly denounced Mr. Wright’s remarks, a reaction Mr. Wright said “went down very simply.”

“He’s a politician, I’m a pastor,” he said. “We speak to two different audiences. And he says what he has to say as a politician. I say what I have to say as a pastor. But they’re two different worlds.”

He added, “I do what I do. He does what politicians do. So that what happened in Philadelphia where he had to respond to the sound bytes, he responded as a politician.”

Ed, more rhetoric…let’s take it point by point…first..health care crisis..Ed..what crisis…there is no health care crisis. The vast majority of Americans HAVE health care insurance. Those that don’t have several options to get adequate heath care. Most states have plans for those without insurance, and no one in America dies or is turned away from a hospital due to inability to pay. Let’s take a look at those people that have no insurance, per say. Why don’t they have their own policy? What percentage of these people opt for a better car, better housing, cell phones, computer, cable TV, computer game systems, a whole list of items THEY deem necessary in their lives, and can’t really afford, but buy rather than insurance. Why must I give up MY health care plan, and go to some crummy national plan, just because they want things more that they can ill afford.
Let’s skip over gas & do mortgage”crisis” because it’s the same thing, people gambled and purchased housing they could ill afford, spent money on other items that they didn’t need, and now have a problem. My daughter has a married friend that bought a home worth 2-3 times my modest home with currently $1000.00 equity in it. They’ve got 5 credit cards maxed out, are still paying school loans, and both drive newer cars. It’s their choice to live that way. If they default on their mortagage, why must I bail them out? This bail out of banks that hold these debts is causing INFLATION.
As to gas prices, blame the LEFT for that. We have enough oil here in the US to last 1000 years, but the envioro nuts won’t let us drill, won’t allow new refineries, demand special blends of gas
to support their myth of global warming. In fact that takes us to food prices. The LEFT again supported and pushed for the greatest idiotic idea in 100 year. Forcing us to buy a product that is worse for our cars, takes more energy to produce, gives worse gas mileage, and causes our food to be burned in our tanks causing higher food prices, and is causing more starving in 3rd world countries because they can no longer afford to buy cheap US surpluses.

While the GOP may have ammo stockpiled to use against the DEM nominee, I sincerely believe that McCain will try to suppress it. He may of been a warrior at some point of his life but I believe he’s become weak. He thinks more of his “friendly status” with the Democrats in the Senate. I truly believe that keeping his “friendship” with the Democrats is more important to him than defeating a dangerous, for America, candidate. In this way he can go back to the Senate after losing in November and he’ll be greeted with open arms by his Democrat friends that’ll tell him what a wonderful, “honorable” campaign he ran. Frankly, if he wasn’t going to defeat the Democrats in November, then WHY run at all. He makes me sick.

If what the ads were saying about Obama were untrue I could more understand why Senator McCain would state he wants them pulled. They are true and real therefore no worries to Senator McCain’s campaign message of integrity. It is the righteous and responsible thing to do to allow truth to be shown to the American people. We want to know and have the right to know who this person is and who his associations are. Though we really do already know enough about Obama to have disqualified him, keeping the truth about him out there is crucial. We are a very forgiving and noble society and this absolutely needs to be kept in the public arena right to the end of this presidential election. Especially for our young people who are very inexperienced in having political insight, to see for themselves. Many of our young people sit in college classrooms with very biased professors spewing their political opinions while they wear the impressive crown of educator. Their opinions have great influence over the students. And then their political mumbo jumbo is fully supported by the biased majority of the media. We have a very visual world. Let them see and hear for themselves. Our children need to know what the truth is.
After all, isn’t the truth what Obama says he wants?
I am praying Senator McCain does not compromise his strength in this race by letting Obama’s transparent talent for twisting words make a difference in this election. Let the truth come out Senator McCain. And by the way Sir, if you do indeed have a bit of a temper, don’t worry about that scaring the American people. It’s exactly what the enemy needs to know. The Reverand Wright ad which is playing in my state of North Carolina is filled with facts. The two t.v. stations that refused to air the ads are keeping facts from the North Carolinians and it was solely the decisions of the station managers.

The Democratic Party is coddling Senator Obama and they have to cut it out. The Democratic Party has proven over and over again they are no match for the Republicans. I can’t stay with the Democratic Party unless HillRock gets the nomination…those Clintons are the only ones who can counterpunch with any effectiveness against the Republicans.

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America .

Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.
This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American com munity into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks — with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas — to advance black applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to supp ort soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?

Barack talks about new ‘ladders of opportunity’ for blacks.

Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for ‘deserving’ white kids.
Is whi te America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it really white America ’s fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent ?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware t hat black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

I am surprised that none of the pundits get what the Obama campaign is doing. They used to call it “innoculation.”

They know what God says about these things yet they remain SILENT and allow you to remain in ignorance. “My people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge.” These pastors are more guilty in the eyes of God than Rev. Wright. If you know to do right, but don’t it is a SIN!! Telling God’s truth regardless of who it stings is what they are called to do. Let the word of God stand on it own, let the chips fall where they may!! Preach the word of God in season and out of season, When people what to hear it and when they don’t PREACH THE WORD OF GOD!! When they like it and when they don’t PREACH THE WORD OF GOD!!

This concept that there is a separation of Church & State with the State (Nation) given more praise and recognition and authority than the God that we claim to fear is an insult to Him and will be the down fall to this nation.

How can you reason that God agrees that there is a separation of Church & State when EVERY preacher and prophet in the bible addressed the issues of the nations?What if the prophets of old had revered the people over God?

How can you challenge the authority of Gods word because it hurts you pride in this nation? What exactly about Rev. Wright’s sermon do you have a problem with was it a lie, was it the tone of voice or was it that he addressed your race? “Gird up the loins of your minds with TRUTHS”

Are you in a church that only focuses on the softer nature of God, his being peaceful, loving, kind, forgiving, patient, merciful while skimming or not even touching the furious nature? He IS the great I AM and that does not just mean only what you want him to be, he’s all that he needs to be, ALL that he IS. He’s a God of justice giving ALL men their due just. This includes America AND Americans!

Why do you value your pride in this nation and your race over and above God’s truth? Do you not understand that you can not truly claim to be God fearing when you do this! You do not have to like Rev. Wright or the things he said, but search our the TRUTH that’s in it.

Do you really think that Obama is racist based on his ex pastors words, that is nonsense!!!
How can you Christians go along with this, why do you allow the media and others to put faith in God on display like this? Do you not know that when they do this they are attacking ALL Christians to include you?? Is your hatred or lack of understanding more important to you than God’s truth or FAITH. Last time I checked, Florida and Michigan were part of the 50 UNITED States. Constitutionally, how can you elect a president for the 50 UNITED States with only counting 48 of them? As for Pelosi, she is getting obnoxious and acts like a bimbo at times. Sometimes, she looks like she is in the bag with something, booze or some drug. Sometimes she slurs her words and seems to have a problem putting a thought together. I think she has turned out a mess as Speaker. Scares me she is 3rd in line for the presidency. That would be tragic if she ended up in the oval office. THEN, our country would seem like child’s play under Bush compared to what she would do to it.

As for this race bit, we were handling it calmly, peacefully for the most part, slowly and gradually until Obama come on the scene and started stirring the pot. This so called “uniter” is really dividing the country by “using” the blacks for his own selfish ambitions. Isn’t it strange how this 1/2 white boy turned all black all of a sudden. He must not have cared for his mother the way he has thrown her memory under the bus when it suited him.

It isn’t Clinton using the race card, it is Obama “USING” the black community for his own ambitions. This upsets me because it means the blacks are throwing away their chance to have a competent black president down the line for this inexperienced, devious “Brownie.” It is not his color that is turning us off, it is all the baggage and bad judgments in his short career that comes with him. We can’t afford “Bone-headed mistakes” and “Mis-speaks” in this troubled world.

This man is Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the retiring pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, who has been in the news for comments he made over the last three decades. Let us not forget that this is a man who gave up six of the most productive years of his life to serve his country.

Rather that hurling uninformed blather as some kind of argument, how about you grasp the reality. John McCain has no legal means to halt any ads not associated with his campaign directly. He has no authority to force the North Carolina GOP to retract the ads. He spoke against the ad, ask for the ad to be respectfully halted. That’s all he’s permitted to do.

I can understand why you bleated what you did though…it’s the nature of the far left to assert that government should “fix” everything for everyone.

We tried that…it was called the USSR. It failed.

Commanding respect and having the authority to order a state campaign to retract a commercial that has no association to his own presidential campaign are two very different things. McCain doesn’t snap his fingers and the party jumps…that’s not how it works. If you fail to understand the authorities and dynamics of a presumptive nominee’s Federal election campaign and an underlying state election running concurrently..you have my deepest sympathy.

Again, because you seem to not understand this fundamental…McCain may be the presumptive nominee for the Republican party, but he has no offical capacity or authority to order anyone at a state level to retract a campaign ad and they inturn to be obliged to obey him. I think you’re thinking of how communism works.

I am an Irish Catholic and my ancestors came over in the 1860’s to escape starvation during the potato famine. As the men got off the boat, they were transcript into the Union Army to fight to abolish slavery. After the Civil War, they built this country, served in World War I, survived the Depression and served in World War II only to see their ancestors insulted and told “Irish Need Not Apply” and later to have African Americans score lower on Civil service Exams and College Entrance Exams but receive preferential treatment.

Obama is making a huge mistake by not debating Hillary. We all know their policies are similar ,but when they debate the American people have a clearer picture of who is the better candidate of the two. He can’t debate — he can only read pretty speeches from a teleprompter.

Each debate should involve some questions from the viewers, this way voters will
see how candidates react with UNPREPARED SITUATIONS. A President must be able
to deal with UNPREPARED situations.

It appears Obama can’t handle UNPREPARED SITUATIONS, fears the unknown, he
is opposing to have more than 21 debates. Debates are very important and necessary
before voters make up their mind. Unveils the true character and strenght of a
candidate!

Obama enjoyed people like J. Wright for 20 yrs. As long as Obama is the nominee
J. Wright and his congregation will take any heat from Obma then will happily embrace
him later on!.

Ater all, ithis IS a Church grounded in the ‘tradition’ of Black Liberation Theology. What DID we expect?

Obama can honestly say he would ‘never take political council from Rev. Wright as President’; he cannot honestly say, however; that his ‘Marxism’ per Alynsky; Chompsky OR by his Church-inspired ‘Liberation Theology’ is not the prism though which he views the world; it’s problems; and it’s solutions.

The truth of Obama can be more easily revealed; if you all would shine the ‘light’ here – not by tortured analysys of yes/no/maybe relationships with the friends, mentors, Obama so readily denies; but rather through the prism of his early Marxist mentors; and for the past twenty years; the ‘theology’ – so called – that has given substance to his his core beliefs.

Amazngly, Obama has fielded a ‘gazillion’ questions re the ‘Reverend Wright’. Have yet to hear ANYone yet ask Obama; what ‘Liberation Theology’ means to him. . .nor draw parallels of BLT; it’s Marxism; to Obama’s invitation to America for ‘change’; or the MO by which Obama invites it.

Isn’t anyone paying attention to how old McCain is??? He could drop dead after election and anyone could be the vice-president. He’s not in touch with what’s going on in the world today!!!!
