What surprised me the most about the good Rev’s statements suggested that Obama was lying to the public about what he heard and knows about rev Wright, since he called him just another politician.

So you have two choices–

To believe Mr Wright in which case Obama is in fact just another politician

Or to believe Obama–but this seems rather unlikely that after 20 years of sitting in that church — that he never heard until the other day the rants and ravings of this nut case. It took me about 15 minutes when I heard the sniptis that this guy was an extremist–and Obama listened over 20 years and didn’t know? Doesn’t ring true to me– I think he is lying– and threw Wright under the bus because of the latest polls–he had no choice.

Here is a look at black liberation theology, that has so influenced Wright. This is from James Cone, who Wright says influenced him.

The black theologian must reject any conception of God which stifles black self-determination by picturing God as a God of all peoples. Either God is identified with the oppressed to the point that their experience becomes God’s experience, or God is a God of racism…The blackness of God means that God has made the oppressed condition God’s own condition. This is the essence of the Biblical revelation. By electing Israelite slaves as the people of God and by becoming the Oppressed One in Jesus Christ, the human race is made to understand that God is known where human beings experience humiliation and suffering…Liberation is not an afterthought, but the very essence of divine activity. In World War ll, America had seperate Armys, wouldnt allow blacks and whites to interact, in most cases. America denied Blacks Equal Housing Oppertunity, denied them Loans, and the list goes on. In early 1980’s the American Army was still testing Drugs on unsuspecting Black soldiers.

Obama is a member of this church to this day.
Whether Wright is pastor or not, the mission is the same.

What more are we supposed to be doing for reconciliation in this country? Buisiness are required to hier minorities, even if there is a more qualified white aplicant. There are scholarships available specifically for minorities. Black comedians, actors and musicians can make fun of Whites all day. As a US Marine, I have seen Black senior enlisted show Black juniors favorable treatment, putting them on meritorious promotion boards, and overlooking violations of the UCMJ.
What more are we supposed to do? Should I just hand over the keys to my car to the first Black person I see? Pass out the contents of my wallet?

Men like Wright are a discrace to the dream of Martin Luther King. Blacks in the country need to look to men like Bill Cosby for leadership, not Wright, Sharpton or Farakhan.

As someone who is a relative newby in politics, I was elected as a delegate from my county to attend the Washington State Convention the end of this month. Even though Romney had suspended by the time my state had its caucus and primaries, I went anyway to “try to force McCain to be more conservative.”

I have not given up on that goal. However, as I watch the Democrats nearly implode over their prolonged battle (and it doesn’t help with the lack of character for both their candidates), I just wanted to make sure that all conservatives stay involved in the process.

Just google Ron Paul Nevada Missouri convention (or anything similar- this site won’t let me post others) and check out things like:

If your county still has conventions or caucuses to elect delegates to your state conventions, please show up or the Republican National Convention in St. Paul will be just as bloody as the Democrats in Denver when the Ron Paul folks hijack it.

I can tell you that in my county almost one half of the delegates to state are Paul supporters.

We ain’t got this won yet, and this could really mess things up. Wonder why this is getting so little MSM attention? They want it to happen.

Very interesting that OBAMA and so many of his supporters don’t seem to understand the concern that Rev. Wright and Brack Obama’s reaction to Wright is generating. They seem so involved with the non-issue of race and the Black Church that they just don’t seem to “get it”.

I, and so many other of my fellow Americans, don’t care one “whit” what gender, religion or race our next President turns out to belong to. Most Americans actually ARE willing to have anyone be their next President as long as they feel sure that he/she has their best interests at heart, at the core of their being.

However, I DEMAND of my next President, that he/she be a patriotic person, in tune with the proud history of the USA, the accomplishments, technology, the hope that America stands for in the hearts of so many non-Americans and the basic human values that the USA has produced from it’s inception.

I understand that the USA has some problems – we always will have something that needs fixin’.

I am really tired, however, of Candidates (in particular the Democrats, it seems) dwelling on what is wrong with the USA. Sometimes it seems that there is almost a gleem in their eyes as they relate what we did wrong as far back as 1776. They want to “make right” every thing our great-great-great-grandparents did wrong. They say we have to pay reparations and appologize because we now can see that our decisions that were made in the heat of war or under stress of the moment were not totally, unhumanly perfect.

Suggested solutions to current problems (like gas and oil prices) are “trashed” because they don’t go far enough – so NOTHING gets done because the solution isn’t “perfect”.

Some wise sage once said that you can not and should not hold the son responsible for what the father did, but some people sure want to attempt this. They are so concerned with making the past right that they are unable to look to the future and as a result they won’t see the current dangers facing us, if we don’t get our heads out of the sand.

Some people are so concerned about being “right” that they may cause us to end up being “dead right”, or maybe just dead.

WE ARE AT WAR WITH TERRORISTS – IT IS REAL – WE WERE ATTACKED WITHOUT WARNING – IT DOESN’T MATTER ONE BIT WHETHER IT IS A “RIGHTOUS WAR” OR NOT – IF WE DON”T COME OUT ON TOP OF THIS EFFORT WE WILL BE FIGHTING IN OUR OWN STREETS.

For example, his principle on the gasoline tax cut holiday is absolutely out of touch. People are hurting now; you politicians can work out what’s good for us down the road but what now? We suffer until your good ideas work? What’s your time table for your better idea finally benefit us? What’s wrong with putting some money in our pocket before you can even convince people your idea is the better one? Your idea takes time; Hillary’s idea takes time too. What’s wrong with also working out a plan with big oil company to contribute a little more along the way? How about highway maintenance? Hey, that’s your job to move all the money wasted in Washington and put it into making this country better, elected or not? Are you trying to make we work hard to make your work easier?

just listen to what he says. What kind of people choose

HELP! The weakness in Obama is in his wife. Like Bush/Chaney, she tells us what she thinks, “we need to know.” She represents Rev. Wright’s views and like most moms, was probably present during his tantrum sermons. Going from the extreme Right (Bush) to the extreme Left (Obama) will be an unwise gamble for our Country. With Hillary we know what we will get; behind door marked Obama (hope and risk), “you just never know what you are going to get.”

I think the Wright comments along with the association with Ayres and Rezko are beginning to paint a picture of Obama that is unsettling at best. Since Wright’s public comments were almost verbatim to the ones Obama said were just sound bites taken out of context, you know his denouncement of Wright was political posturing–another reason to believe this is because he did not do it for over a day after the public speeches. He has had a free ride by all of the media for a year or he would not have a lead in delegates right now.

I question his value system, his patriotism, and his honesty based on all of the skeletons that are falling out of his closet plus his reaction to each of them. He has not been honest with us and we now know he tried to hide Wright from the public at the outset. He knew he would be an issue and he is. I do not want someone in the White House who cannot convince me of his Christian values or his patriotism.

I think the win is Guam shows voters are beginning to question him–he was predicted to win by a large margin….

Hillary needs to be the nominee. I, for one, will vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee.

I feel Hillary Clinton or the press should ask the question of Barrack Obama, “You are still the Senator of Illinois even if you are running for President. What have you done to help the Chicago situation of all the deaths that keep occurring during the weekends? The police are armed just like the military in Iraq. This is his backyard. Who has he organized, what levels of government has he called upon to help put an end to all of this violence”. This is in his backyard, his city, and his constituents. This is a real issue for real people that could use his leadership skills with a real issue. This situation matters to these people more than anything else. If you are not alive, who cares about gas or food? These people are trying to survive to live another day, and I have not heard the press ask the question or even if bring it up. This is a specific problem but this problem exists all over, but to me it is important because it is in his neck of the woods. If he was really trying to do something about real problems like this, people would forget about Reverend Wright, because this is something that he did or at least tried to do, and other cities might be able to use some of his strategies. What would people of all races say if he took time out and organized Republican and Democrats and Independents and went down there spoke to the people, and try to help them? That is real. Then he could possibly say he was a different kind of politician. After all it is in his state. If he can not handle this he can not handle 50 states.

We live in a predominently African-American neighborhood and I was stunned the other day when one of our little ones came home and told us one of his friends said we are racists because we supported someone other than Obama for president.

My wife explained we don’t support Hillary either (presumably making us sexist as well) because we are pro-life. She explained what abortion is and why we disagree with it. That doesn’t make Obama or Hillary bad people — just people we cannot vote for in god conscience.

However, as the election process has unfolded, I realize that my concern over Obama goes well beyond the policies and ideas he has on the political front (Soviet style health care, abortion on demand, surrender in the War on Terror) to something that is more fundamental: the characters who influence his thought and ideas.

As a member of an anti-Americah hate cult for more than 20 years, Obama was influenced by a pastor who believes we have the capacity to target our own people with a deadly and incurable disease, that our enemies have a justifiable “chickens coming home to roost” reason for mass murder on our shores and a “liberation theology” that presupposes God is against all whites just because…. His association with corrupt gangsters and terrorists is not merely the stuff of opposition research — he has refused to distance himself from Resko and Ayers any more than political expediency will tolerate.

Instead of seeing Obama as the Black Messiah — the guy who can settle once and for all the debt of race in America, we should instead see him as just another Tammany Hall style politician. If we want a Black Messiah, I’d suggest we look to someone of character and integrity such as J.C. Watts, Mike Steele or Ken Blackwell. For that matter, if we want a Female Messiah, we could consider a host of better options than Hillary Clinton. We could get both in Condi Rice — but I wouldn’t support her either. Not because she’s black or because she’s a woman, but because I won’t support a pro-abortion candidate.

The point is, there are people out there who vote on principles beyond black and white, male and female. Some of us are “one issue” voters and some just want to see America restored to its greatness. Change is great, but change to a cult of personality, historically, has never been good change.

to his far more than fare handling by media
in paid integrity, and honestly, received in

I sure hope that John McCain chooses Mitt Romney as his VP. That way, when they lose miserably in November, we can get back to electing Conservatives to represent Republicans instead of Mavericks and Flip-Floppers.

I have been a democrat for decades, but now, if Osama wins, I have to vote republican.
I just read about this Osama closet muslim and he is very scary. The thought of
this person in charge of our military is umbelievable! The reason Osama was against
the Irag invasion was beacuse Iraq is a muslim nation! Osama lied about his religion,
he was/is a muslim. He outwardly changed religion because a muslim would have a
more difficult time being elected. His long time partner in crime, Resko, is a Syrian
muslim. Resko raised a huge fortune to get Osama started in politics. As you may
know, Resko is in jail without bound and his trial was set for march 04, if Obama

If I was a superdelegate, I would never want to endorse Barack Hussein Obama since
it is too RISKY and too DANGEROUS to endorse someone who is UNTESTED and whose MESSAGES

You might be interested to know my close friend, a writer who lives in London tells
me the Muslims are rejoicing at the prospect of Obama as President. If that doesn’t
speak volumes, what does? I agree that he is getting Arab money. My friend said
they send money to Muslim mosques around the country, including Black Muslims (Farrakhan,
eg.) and then the money is contributed in the name of the members. That’s how
the source of the money is disguised. But the media has given him a free ride and
has put a lid on anything that detracts from his candidacy. My question is WHY?
