Statistically, how can Hillay Clinton overtake Obama? However she might get the presidential nomination would have to be done by negotiation with the super delegates and possibly counting the votes of Michigan and Florida. How could any of that be done fairly with Obama in the lead of the delegate count and the DNC and these two states not being able to come to a concensus about a recount? Hillary is just hanging on in the hope that Obama will make a major gaff and she can step in and take over. THAT would be a dangerous prospect for our country–to have Hillary lead it along the path toward her socialistic programs!

Well, I live in Florida and I want my vote counted! Just because our goofy government decided to move up our election does not mean the voters should be punished for a decision that we had no control over! Howard Dean also phucked us over, big time!! The fact remains that Hillary won Florida!

What is dangerous is to put someone in the White house that has known ties to some pretty scary people and organizations, and one of them being a priest is even more frightening. Obama put himself at the bottom of the teeter totter and for that reason and others he should drop out of the race, IF he really loves his country!!

Well first she would have to get Michigan and Florida counted. That would cut Obama’s current lead to about 60 delegates. She has to have a decent showing in Oregon and smack Obama in Kentucky like she did in West Virginia. She has to show well in Montana and South Dakota (although there are so few delegates in those two states it wouldn’t make too much of a difference but it would be good for appearances), and she has to dominate in Puerto Rico. If all that gets accomplished she will probably cut Obama’s lead to…oh….maybe 35 delegates. From there she has to cut a deal with the Superdelegates. One thing to remember about the Superdelegates is that they are not officially locked in until the convention. They can switch sides all they want between now and then. HOWEVER, the odds of her pulling off all of the above are slim. I’d give her one chance in 10.

It’s an amazing time to be alive in America. We’re in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first front-running freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first.

We won’t truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won’t arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics.

The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner, and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him. Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He’s not. He’s the next George McGovern. And it’s time people learned the facts.

Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost.
Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he’s not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant.. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America. But let’s look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial ‘beauty.’

Start with national security, since the president’s most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another Holo -caust; and Kim Jong II, who is murd_ering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists – something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk.

Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on ‘the rich.’ How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.

Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, ‘All praise and glory to God!’ but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have ‘hi jacked’ – hi jacked – Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois, he refused to vote against a statewide ban – ban – on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood, and San Francis co values, not Middle America values.

The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don’t start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of ‘bringing America together’ means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs.

But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and – yes – they’re talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama’s radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton.

It’s time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let’s first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war.

He ain’t Collin Powell or Condi Rice (I’d vote for either in a heartbeat). Hillary would be ahead if we knew then what we know now, but it may be too late to stop his nomination.

Since 90%+ blacks are voting for Obama for no reason other than they want a Pres. who “looks like me” what’s good for the black goose is good for the white gander! All you “typical white folks” Obama despises still have the fate of the country in your hands. If 90% of whites vote for Hillary now (way to go WV) and if that doesn’t work vote for McCain in November we can stop this racist man from winning. Being a fabulous speaker, Obama enters politics and now runs for President on a message of CHANGE. But what kind of change? Who really knows…SCARY stuff! Obama is inexperienced, exhibits poor judgment in a number of areas and associates himself with “known” undesirables. Further, the media and his party have essentially given him a free pass and to date he lacks proper vetting. Simply put…Obama is not qualified to become our next President! I just heard from Mr. Obama that he has visited 57 states since he started his run for the Presidency. It took me awhile to figure out how he could visit 57 states when the U.S. is only comprised of 50 but I think I figured it out. Mr. Obama was also speaking in MO yesterday, when he stated that too many Arab liguists were being tied up in Iraq and that there were not enough Arabic linguists to satisfy the need for them in Afghanistan. There will be more scrutiny; and some are really disturbing which probably won’t help at all; extreem right wing foreign policy advisors- James Woolsey for one who is with a group that wants to remap the world, and exclude russia and china, really bizarre and dangerous; halve baked economy proposal; no viable solution to social security and health care; no release of Cindy’s tax return, to show if there is any conflict of interest, since MCain was always once in favour of openness and accountability; not denouncing his problematic religious ‘friends’, leaders, but actually still happy for their support; his fli-flops on major issues like abortion, gun laws, tax cut etc,; his alliance with most Bush policies; his age and questions about his health; his questionable support of wealthy donors in Arizona who got a windfall in development assets through his interference and help; furthermore a fractured party with religious conservatives and republicans who support small government and want a reduction in militarism abroad, and where McCain doesnt seem much to offer to them. On top of that a lackluster fundraising, unpopular War in Iraq and concerns about economy- he needs some luck and sustained consistency and a good narrative, since uptill now it has been quite; cant see how this old guy can turn things around or who wants to vote for him, some will vote for him as a protest vote but have no idea what he stands for or who his advisors are. Doesn’t matter, getting boring, come fall McCain will be alongside the loser club.

I’ve noticed that when liberals on these blogs are affronted with reason and rational thought, they flee elsewhere to post their emotional rants.

Americans are, by and large, moderate to conservative when it comes right down to it.
Complaining about taxes and high prices, then voting for a liberal democrat, is nonsensical. They won’t do it.
When faced with the realization that a weakened national defense exposes not only us, but our civilized friendly allies and mutual economies to radical islam, they won’t be able to vote liberal democrat either.
More and higher taxation directly correlates to loss of personal liberty, while enriching those who did nothing for the enrichment – that’s called theft. Again, voting for a liberal democrat makes no sense here.
Take heart. When the democrats finish flogging themselves, and determine a nominee, the ensuing mono e mono campaign will reveal the undesirable national socialist nature of today’s democrat party.
If it’s Obama, well, he simply hasn’t the demographic base to win.

First and foremost I could care less about the race matters. I just want fair reporting. And by the tone of this blog since my last post I see we are not the melting pot we believe. I was/am not voting for Obama not because he is not worthy but I don’t know if he can really lead the nation and I know he has a wife and two kids that he needs to be alvie to support. And someone mentioned white history month, last time I checked in the history books of most schools every month is white history month. H$ll, people come out from under oppression and you act like that is enough and they have been done a freaking favor. Please, spare me the B.S. about white this and white that, the problem is most don’t want to celebrate the culture of another especially when their culture has been the dominate one for hundreds of years. If only you could see the irony in your statement. I’m for Obama too, but man oh man. Racism = ignorance. Thinking that god is controlling everything we do also = ignorance. I must agree that the racism is really amazing though.

I think Mccain is the only choice we have, but I still pray that we are not so divided that we elect a man with radical muslum ties, or even support him. I don’t care if he is green so don’t call me a racist……..

My internet is really slow today, so I am having trouble in seeing the posted videos. However, I did see part of your interview on FOX and wanted to comment on Hillary’s “overtime” viewpoint. Hillary does have a right to continue on in this race as long as she has the money and backing to do it. However, no matter what her comments about sticking it out until it is no longer viable for her to do so, seems like more wishful thinking than solid evidence. In actuality, Hillary is loaning her campaign money and in debt for several thousand dollars and she cannot keep up with Obama for fundraising. Her super delegates are peeling off from her because they see what she fails to: her message is not appealing to the constituency that it needs to. It is lackluster, it does not inspire, and only builds upon the dissatisfaction of others as a platform. Hillary’s agitation in creating a racial divide in this race have come back to haunt her and I saw her apology for her “white working class” comment. Of course she knew that comment would create racial tension! For all of Hillary’s arrogance, she is NOT stupid! I think an apology was in order and that she should stop this type of rhetoric and stick to the facts–she is having trouble herself in capturing the youth and African American vote.

The endorsement of John Edwards yesterday was more clarification that Hillary is continuing to experience eroding support. Edwards represents the working class voter that Hillary has been getting, so far. However, with an Edwards endorsement to Obama won’t his supporters now be more likely to back Obama? One has to ask, why can’t Hillary deliver the knock-out punch to finish this race and get the nomination? What are voters seeing about HER that they don’t like? Also, why are high profile political figures NOT choosing Hillary? If they know her so well and understand her political arguments, why are they choosing Obama even in the wake of Rev. Wright? It is because they DO know Hillary and what she represents and they don’t think she is qualified for the top job in the country. The American public should also recognize this fact and take a second look at Hillary and HER past. Hillary would be wrong for the country and take us down the path of a socialized government.
