The Beautiful America After Four Years of President McCain!

Columbus, Ohio:

John McCain came to Columbus, Ohio to outline his vision of America and the world after four years of his presidency. His campaign also launched a new web ad highlighting that expansive vision of:
The Middle East stabilized.
Nuclear terror threat reduced.
Border security strengthened.
Energy independence advanced.
Wasteful spending reformed.
Health care choice delivered.
Economic confidence restored.

In his speech in Columbus, Ohio, JSM plans to go back to the future laying out his vision – or at least what he VERY OPTIMISTICALLY envisions the nation and world will be like AFTER what he anticipates will have been a TREMENDOUSLY successful 1st term as president. (The speech comes a few days after a comic six minute video from UBCComedy where a man wakes from a coma after seven years to see the new and improved world after Barack Obama)

“By January 2013, America has welcomed home most of the servicemen and women who have sacrificed terribly so that America might be secure in her freedom. The Iraq War has been won.”

Internationally, McCain boldly predicts Al Qaeda in Iraq will have been defeated, Afghanistan will ALSO be stabilized and NO Major attack will have occured in the US since 9-11. He forecasts stunning diplomatic successes negotiating the elimination of stubborn rogue nuclear threats that have for yrs been unresolvable.

“Concerted action by the great democracies of the world has persuaded a reluctant Russia and China to cooperate in pressuring Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions, and North Korea to discontinue its own.”

McCains economic forecast is all sunny skies too. He assumes implementation of aggressive tax and spending cuts and that congress will have adopted his domestic agenda.

“The United States has experienced several years of robust economic growth, and Americans again have confidence in their economic future.”

While Obama advocates hope, McCain predicts triumph: ever expanding global free trade will have made up for US job losses in manufacturing and other sectors

“New free trade agreements have been ratified and led to substantial increases in both exports and imports.”

McCain assumes cooperation with congress…on a host of long deadlocked issues, energy independence, revamping the tax code, public education, healthcare, medicare, even Social security.

“The reforms include some form of personal retirement accounts in safe and reliable index funds, such as have been available to government employees since their retirement plans were made solvent a quarter century ago.

Despite ardent opposition from his own party NOW to what many call amnesty for illegal immigrants McCain anticipates victory on comprehensive immigration reform which would include provisions for a guest worker program.

“the American people accepted the practical necessity to institute a temporary worker program and deal humanely with the millions of immigrants who have been in this country illegally. “

Only toward the end of his remarks does McCain acknowledge political opposition and how unlikely such wholesale success will be…he blames it on partisanship and the seemingly unending election cycle.

“This mindless, paralyzing rancor must come to an end. We belong to different parties, not different countries. We are rivals for the same power. But we are also compatriots. “

This almost idealistic and hopeful tone is sure to draw sharp reaction from the Dems!

John McCain in reading this speech showed moments of uneasiness. Very disappointed with the lackluster tone of his voice. Whatever he said is overshadowed by his inability to speak fluently and effectively. Someone needs to address this weakness. He sounds more Democratic each speech.

why isn’t McCain live on internet?\

Fox news must not be following the the terms of use or privacy statements they adhere to. I was appalled at the Mr. Conservative comment. How do you allow anyone to use the N word and to be so explicit about it. It is one thing to be a good Conservative it is quite another to be obscene. This comment needed to be moderated by someone. Very disappointed with comments left by radicals. This is ok on a White Supremacy Blog of which I would not read. Once again, however, I do read Fox and watch Fox. Why lower your standards now.

Comment by Albin Anderson

Did you notice on CNN a sidebar of where the candidates stand – or how he has voted on past subjects, it appeared to me that they were selective in the subject to make him look bad even though they may have been accurate quotes or votes or ideals. McCain appears overly optimistic concerning his world view of foreign policy. This is from my GOP mind

Comment by Beverly George

John McCain is a great war hero and I respect what he went through in Viet Nam. He is a RINO (Republican in name only). And no, not all Americans are willing to let illegals run over this country. Why should we pay for Mexico’s welfare too? Pray that Ron Paul does and end run at the Republican convention and gets the nomination. Otherwise we might as well vote for a Democrat.

Comment by Beverly

I am so happy to finally see John McCain on television. He really seems interested in
what’s best for our country and I hope to see him a whole lot more on television and
talking to us, the Republicans and Conservatives. I am so tired of seeing the “Obama
Drama”. He is so inexperienced and says nothing about nothing. I cannot understand
all the so-called “liberal intelligent people”, as they think they are, all supporting
someone who knows nothing about foreign policy, or how to lead our country the
way it should be lead. We do not need the government running everything for us
and giving everything away to people who do not even work or try to work.

What Beauty? Bush is using more of his devious methods to further his war efforts through McCain. He is fanning the fires of war in a bold attempt to ensure continuance. The unsolicited, outrageous and dangerous attacks from President Bush are similar to the strategy to wage war on Iraq. The reach of this slanderous accusation of and by our own people of the United States is another slap in the face that will deepen the hatred of Bush and America around the world for having such a tyrant as our President. Jews and Americans know that we are being used in the most outlandish way. Israel could not be happy that this was perpetrated on their soil. I can not believe that his administration is happy with this event. How Americans react is what is important now and in our future. Bush should be impeached!

Hey the comment from Mr. Conservative is like the stupid stuff on the Daily Coos and
I can’t believe that fox let that one in. Mr. Conservative it’s hate filled sh– like

Comment by FearlessInFlorida

If Fox news does not take the ignorant and racist comment(s) OFF of the blog, I am going to spread the word. It casts a PRIMITIVE and negative light on FOX and Americans. People read this all over the world. We are very much behind in the developed world in our appreciation of the races.

We need to stomp out the racism that is so damaging to America and the view of whites by the rest of the world. We need to do this by education, example and no tolerance of this cancer that will eat into their children.

Conservative Whites – All Whites, We have to denounce the racist comments of all like Mr. Conservative and idiots like “him”. As immigrants and descendants of immigrants (descendants of stolen and enslaved people as well), have the power to educate the racists who “chose” to be whatever race they are and use hatred to hurt all of U.S. A racist like this would probably hate the indigenous people of America as well.

If you truely love America, it is time to seriously discuss ideas how to make this country better.

My Fellow Bloggers,

You need to ask yourself why Fox News would allow Mr. Conservative to make such postings.

We all Know that there are many other conservatives that would like to be as bold as Mr Conservative.

Comment by FearlessInFlorida

DRYHEAT, I fear that you are correct…. “The comment by Mr. Conservative above does represent conservatives, he’s they only one that will come out and say it.”

So, what do we do?

It is so ignorant to hate, especially based on race, since non of us decide what race we would like to be.

The solution is to LOVE yourself. People like this do not. They feel deficient in some way to become a BULLY. I pity the fool.

Comment by k.power

Thank you Fearless in Florida. There is no room for the comments of Mr. Conservative. Fox should never lower itself to allow this type of garbage on their blog. I would hope that Carl Cameron would address the comments. He should follow the terms of use and privacy statements that Fox so explicitly presents before anyone writes an opinion. Mr. Conservative is thankfully in the minority views…it certainly not a complement to Fox that he feels it is the only venue that will publish his raw racist remarks. It has nothing to do with Barack Obama!

2nd and most important…IS BOYCE from Syracuse Univ. a conservative, what about Wright, a Bob Beckel??? The Liberals invented name calling…sometimes conservatives dip to their levels!

Comment by Dennis

McCain’s only vision is to: continue on with King George’s self serving, plutocratic, nationally destructive policies of fleecing the middle class of America to line the pockets of rich wealthy republican elitists, murdering our nation’s mothers, fathers, sons and daughters in illegal republican, unconstitutional wars like Iraq, continuing to sell our jobs over seas under the disguise of “free trade”, spending like there is no tomorrow while claiming to be conservative, giving large corporation’s tax breaks and welfare while cutting aid to American citizens and acting as if wasting American tax dollars on social programs for Iraq and other countries is sound policy while doing so for American citizens is somehow socialism.

Comment by FearlessInFlorida

Cathy in Indiana: Even Hillary calls your strategy FOOLISH! The democratic race is NOT about Hillary or Obama, it is about putting the American train back on the train tracks. Hillary, Bill and Barack are going to be great friends when this is all over. They are on the same train, each wanting to be in the front car…. WAKE UP from the hypnotism!

Comment by Hillbillies & Irony

You White racist Hillbillies are the most pathetic people living on the face of our planet!
For God’s sake, understand that this Mr. Conservative comment is just IRONY!
You cannot understand because your brains have been destroyed by years of American Idol.
No conservative thinks that way! He is just one of the HRC supporters posting it to attack McCain!
See, I am a Black man, and a true conservative (remember that, historically, the Dems were the party of the south and slavery…). I am a veteran of two American wars, and I am a proud supporter of Big Mac and Rice. We can build a new dynasty! We have Condie Rice ready to be president of this country for the next 12 years! (VP for McCain in 2008, and then head of the ticket in 2012 and 2016)
Basically because the White Redneck Hillbilly race is going to be extinct in 20 years and our country will be a half Latino/half Black country, so McCain will be the last White president.
So, hillbillies, please stop to be a shame for our country and just stay at your living room with your credit card debt and foreclosed houses, watching American Idol. Let us, the Black and Latino, which are the future of our country to make our Big Mac the next pres. and then to create a Rice empire!
If you don’t like it, Denmark, Sweden and Norway are just 8 hours away to the other side of the pond… Just move and live our country to us for manage it.

And if the democrats will support this radical loon, it makes me question that whole party…they have LOST it…they are radical liberals…

DENNIS, you are right. I suspect that a Bush strategy is to have McCain bring JEB Bush in as McCain’s running mate.

Just like Bush senior had those plans for George Bush, Hillary had those plans for herself and Hillary and Bill probably has the same plans for their daughter in the future.

This is not a Monarchy. We ran away from that hundreds of years ago and built a strong nation without a monarchy.

Comment by barbara e

McCain would never let Bush dictate his strategy or his vp candidate. McCain is a good honest man. More than I can say for Obama who has been caught in numerous lies. Also clinton has her head ducking moments. Though Clinton would be a so much better president that Obama.

McCain08 or Clinton but never Obama

To FearlessFlorida ” Israel could not be happy that this was perpetrated on their soil” You obviously do not read Israeli news or take interest for that matter for if you did you’d find out the Israeli people are very much comfortable with Bush’s foreign policies, and they are very concerned with Senator Obama’s peace mongering speeches. These are people who are sorrounded by hostile nations that want its destruction so it is no wonder that they are fearful of an Obama Presidency. As a reminder please do your research before blabbing about things. It makes you look ignorant and possessed of BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome)

YOU ARE SPREADING THESE LIES SINCE YOU KNOW THAT MOST PEOPLE WILL NOT DO THE RESEARCH ON OBAMA AND WILL BE LEFT WITH YOUR LIES. YOU ARE OLD NEWS AND STRATEGY THAT HAS NOT WORKED FOR MOST. … THINK of others besides yourself and stop victimizing people with your LIES.

So if McCain is elected resident, all of our economic and international problems will have been solved. Fantastic! I suppose for his second term Old Man McCain will give every American a new puppy and cure the gum disease gingivitis. I cannot believe how hypocritically self-serving this guy is. And apparently he is the best Republicans have to offer this year.

Comment by Tel...

I’m for McCain, I believe he has a far better grasp on national security and the deployment of our armed forces than both Dem candidates and even many Repubs…but being absolute about no major terrorist attack on U.S. soil? It’s quite premature to say something like that given that terrorist cells can remain dormant for years. I have to question that. As for acceptable stability in Iraq and Afghanistan?…not a shred of doubt. It can be done.

This is not a military objective and will cause our military to continue to get bogged down. Geroge Bush declared a MILTARY victory in May 2005. I am also Jewish. We do not trust what a Obama administration would do for the safety of Israel. We do not believe Obama when he states that he would stand beside us. He can not have it both ways. Both exemplary statespeople and exceptionally gifted in their governmental capacities. Ms Rice in particular of late has done an amazing job in bringing Fatah and Israel to the negotiating table.

Your rhetoric is not condusive to moving this country into the future.

Michael,

McCain was a pow for 5 years and could have been released early but refused to be released before his men. He would not abuse any solider. There are record re-enlistments. How do you account for that? McCain would be a great president. Obama would go down in history as the worst. You can’t hate America and be it’s president. The people won’t allow it.

Chamberlian tried to appease Hitler too. Look how that turned out.
some peoples egos are so huge they think they can run the whole world. Our enemies have a plan and a slick talker isn’t going to change their minds. Even Slick Willy couldn’t do any thing with Arafat. The N. Koreans fooled Richardson.
WE need a strong defense not some silly pie in the sky blather.
You notice Gaza is lobbing Iranian made missiles into Isreal. Hezbolla is killing again in Lebannon.
Obama thinks Arabic is the language of Afghanistan.
Says he will campaign in 57 states. How ironic that their are 57 Islamic states recognized by the UN. Must have been one of those fruedian slips? Oh, I know, he was tired.
Who would be Obs puppet master?
He mentions issues but will never say what he CAN do about them. How can he or any president lower gas prices. The home business is not a “crisis”. We are not in a recession.
We are a Capitalist Republic. Even tho the lefty dems want to take over and Federalize Every thing. Sounds like Cuba to me.

McCain is embarassed by his party’s handling to the war and out of a sense of guilt, he is wanting to correct some of the mess Geroge Bush started. Again SHAME on the Republicans for using our troops to appease their political agenda.

McCain’s vision of America is indeed beautiful, though Senator Clinton would be the best candidate to realize this vision. It increasingly looks like Hillary is not going to be the nominee of the Democrat party, and I believe McCain will be more capable and trustworthy than Obama to deliver this beautiful vision. I will be vote for McCain this fall if Clinton is not the ballot, and this would be my first time voting republican (I voted for Gore and Kerry in the last two elections).

Furthermore, I told you last time we had a similar exchange (and after numerous other occasions along similar lines) that if you continue to assert the silliness of the “what if Bill Clinton” deflection, when you were told CLEARLY that I don’t see it as a party issue but as a security issue, that I’d consider you a fool. Well done McCain. You will make a wonderful president.

I really do laugh when i read all the negatives about John McCain from the ‘obamabots’. He is the only candidate that can now cross over party lines to work together, Obama will never get the support from the conservative repubs (he even said he is pro-choice which is an automatic no-no for them). He is in no way a puppet to George Bush. He has his own views and he has never been afraid to let people know. He has changed his mind on a few bills, but so what. Times change and i think only an arrogant politician (like Obama) would never change his mind on what he voted previously so he always looked good. Oh, and Obama’s voting record in the Senate is very dodgy. How can you answer ‘present’ so many times, he is so concerned about his image that he doesnt want any baggage to be on him. Dont anybody be fooled by Obama’s speeches. he sounds TERRIBLE without his written speech in front of him. he can hardly get sentences out.

To Wonderful Oregon and Kentucky Electorate – (Specially Young voters…)

- It’s now your turn to favor our Country with “Good Judgement” by electing the rightful candidate who will lead our country in overcoming our economic problems to a blissful years of prosperity again. A Candidate who will preside our country with “clear plans” and not by “mere words” to protect the safety and security of every Americans; and A candidate will not use and destroy the Reputation and Prestige of the Presidency for self aggrandizement of false hopes of dealing with government who advocates terrorisms without condition.
- You need to vote for a candidate who has no ties with anybody who hates America in any shape or forms.
- Don’t vote for a candidate who’s loyalty to the Flag and Country is questionable.
- Don’t be swayed by Flowery speeches without substance by some politician who thinks words are enough to solve our problems without clear plans and solutions.

- Oregon follow your heart! and Vote as Patriots!

- Vote Senator Hillary Clinton as President!

Poor McCain. I actually like McCain but the republicans are just sending him out for a sacrifice. He’s toward the end of his political career so the big loss he’s going to suffer won’t hurt the part in the long run like it would if one of their “rising stars” loss. I really can’t believe that McCain’s campaign so far has been a tour where he tells old war stories, and his major policy speech is a magically look into the future.

I’m still waiting for a reason to vote for OB. Can any one come up with a positive on him?

John McCain’s loves our country and wants to do whatever he can for all Americans. He is an honorable man and says and does what he thinks is right even when it is not popular. I hope and pray Americans will stand up and vote for John McCain a trustworty American who puts his country first and not his own ambitions.

its a soap opera, GOP in shambles and now McCain needs to become their saviour; Congress most likely in strong Dem. hands for many years to come, and usual attack strategy of liberal, liberal doesnt work anymore. Seems they dont have the creativity or vision to come with an alternative. Who makes these ads, blasting 2013, unlucky number and weak candidate, ts very symbolic and almost hilarious. Its also fun to watch McCain state that global warming is a reality, wow really, its like a child says the sky is blue. Of the naivity and flip flops a dangerous streak in revamping world order, by excluding china and Russia in major organisations, really bizarre, since Reagan and Nixon helped these countries come into the main stream. Kind of longing for the cold war, where life was simple. and you knew your enemies. Karl Rove is out of the picture, and campaign is lost, attacks dont work, formidable opponent, younger and enough cash to make first self financed election in many years. Age-ism and his secrecy of his wife tax return is contrary to his stand on openness, especially since she just deinvested her stocks which were related to Sudan. No wonder they like to keep further scrutiny a secret. Anyway its fun to watch, people are fed up with foolish hypocritical behavior and policies. Now thye want to steal also the slogan change, its almost childish to see how they run on empty.

If you look at some interviews with McCain on utube about the economy and his temper and how is colleagues are afraid of him in the Oval Office, it is a very different picture.

McCain and Cindy in the white house. No other choice period.

Problem for you Michael…McCain hasn’t exhibited anything resembling the accusation you forward against him. Just more of your emotional non-sense to inflame rather than inform.
################################################################

Again, there you go giving the Republicans a blind eye when they have misbehaved. While in your heart you now you would not have given Bill Clinton this blind eye, if he had started this mess. THIS COUNYTRY HAS HAD ENOUGH OF THE POLITICAL POSTURING OF YOU AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY>
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I speak from clarity Michael not from “my heart” (ie: emotion) as you do.

You may now consider youurself a fool Michael.

Just like I thought Tel, you refuse to hear the truth about what Geroge Bush and the Republican party. And now you resort to calling me names. How Typically conservative you are.

Its fun to watch, GOP in shambles, Congress most likely in solid Dem. hands for years to come, and now the most unlikely person needs to be their savior. The usual tactics of ‘liberal’ is not working in state elections, and without a viable alternative program they become a fringe issue.
Registered Rep. lowest in years, campaign budget and fundraising efforts dissmal, and is enforced by losing streak in state lections. What to offer, all of a sudden global warming is a fact, WOW, its like a child looking first time at the sky and syas its blue, amazing the naivity and flip flops. People are not bying the flip flops anymore, secrecy on tax return (whats their to hide, probably more since just deinvested stocks in Sudan), his so called green vision (just building up to 20 nuclear reactors, which probably are made in France, foremost industry which why China is importing them); underneath the naivity something sinister and more dangerous in reshaping world order, really bizarre to wanting to exclude china and russia in major organisations.
Its just the economy and his halve baked economic policies and support of Bush tax cut is not much of anything. He hasnt done much in his spare time, while Dem. got the limelight, probably more scrutiny but who cares, getting boring and wouldn’t be surprised Dem.get a landslide victory, especially is state and Congress elections, rest is just a formality.

Ya’ know, Obama really is a great speaker. I have to give him that. And I think the rest of you, regardless of who you wish to vote for, would agree with me. That being said, when it is time to speak with these leaders, will he have a teleprompter? He doesn’t seem too quick “on the fly”. Not only that, but do these people even speak English? I doubt that most of them do, and I find it very hard to believe that, even with his oratorical prowess, his speeches will be all that impressive through the mouth of an interpreter.

###############################################################

If there are record reenlistments, why are our troops on the 3rd and 4th tour in Iraq.
Why is there a growing number of troops being deployed deemed unfit for combat?

John McCain IS NOT George Bush. Some of you people need to wrap your head around that. The man would only do what’s right for this country and NOTHING is going to change ROE vs. WADE like obama supporters want you to believe.
John McCain loves this country and that’s a hell of alot more than I can say about obama. Obama is the most dangerous person to ever run for president of this country.

JOHN McCAIN HAS FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC EXPERIENCE AND GOOD JUDGMENT. OBAMA HAS NEITHER.

CRY BABY-BAMA ISN’T STRONG ENOUGH TO RUN ANYTHING. OBAMA NEEDS THICKER SKIN — HE’S EITHER TOO SENSITIVE OR TOO VAIN! HIS ELITIST ATTITUDE WON’T WORK WITH THE HARD-WORKING, BLUE COLLAR PEOPLE OF AMERICA.

PRESIDENT BUSH WAS NOT SPEAKING ABOUT OBAMA! MAYBE OBAMA SIMPLY FEELS “GUILTY”. HE DOES HAVE A PROBLEM WITH JEWISH PEOPLE THAT HE HAS NOT EXPLAINED YET. HE DOES HAVE TIES TO TERRORISTS AND ANTI-AMERICANS, WHICH HE HAS NOT EXPLAINED. HE HAS NOT EXPLAINED HIS RACIST REMARKS IN HIS BOOK. HIS WIFE IS AN ANTI-AMERICAN.

HIS WHINING ABOUT PRESIDENT BUSH’S SPEECH EXPOSES HIS VULNERABILITY HERE — HE SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT (AGAIN)!

HE HAS RUN HIS ENTIRE CAMPAIGN ON LIES!

NO-BAMA 2008!

McCain left no question about whose side he is on–he is on the side of America first, foremost and always.

As to his age, it is what it is and has given him a lot of useful experience.

He needs a youthful and vigorous companion who is a fiscal conservative and a moderate by record in everything else. That would be Mitt Romney. I think folks will have a lot more confidence in the ticket, given Mac’s age if he has Mitt there to make folks feel safe in case of his demise.

Kathy WI,
no, I can’t think of a reason to vote for Obama. I just got off the phone with my daughter who works at a VA hospital in Pa. Since the buzz is all about the Edwards endoesment, She said McCain has gotten so much more support. I guess Edwards thought he was helping. Thank God he didn’t back Hillary. So many people see this as it is. One big pitch for obama, and they do everything to out do hillary. I think the men are affraid of her. They know she will out do them. So, I hope obama sticks his foot in his mouth again and has to eat his own words this time.I can’t wait.

The GOP has some serious concerns. The’ve lost touch with the base. Democrats have lost touch with any segment of conservative thought–cow-towing to feminists, evey nationality under the sun, and socio-enviro groups.

It’s time for a new order. I invite all conservatives to join me in supporting Bob Barr the Libertarian candidate for President. He’s the best hope for REAL change in Washington–and he would never compromise his values–for anybody.

That’s the kind of President we need. That’s the kind of President all the “wanna-be’s” say they are–but the proof is in their record.

Bob Barr, Libertarian, President 2008. Please donate, volunteer, and help us charter REAL new course for Washington. Reclaim your liberty/independence from the federal, state government–be a Libertarian.

It’s refreshing for a politician let us know exactly where he or she is intending to take us. Thanks McCain !

We’ve heard enough about unexplained “CHANGE”. Why do we suppose that the reason we hear so
little about their intended policies is— THEY WOULD RATHER WE NOT FIND OUT ?!?!

The far left such as: George Soros, Michael Moore, Rosie O’Donnell, Rev. Wright, and Ward Churchill
would laughable if they weren’t so freightening.

The LUNECY of the far LEFT is LAUGHABLE if not LUDICROUS ! !

OUR ENERGY PROBLEMS WILL CONTINUE: OUR DEPENDENCY ON FOREIGN OIL WILL CONTINUE BECAUSE WE ARE AFRAID TO DRILL FOR OUR OWN OIl (we have to save some rat or fish over human benefit ) AND GAS PRICES WILL GO UP; TAXES WILL DEFINITELY GO UP AND SPENDING WILL BE OUT OF SIGHT; THE WAR ON TERRORISM AND SECURE BORDERS WILL BE AN AFTERTHOUGHT UNTIL WE ARE ATTACKED AGAIN!!!!!! AMERICA HAS ALREADY FORGOTTEN 9/11!!!!

SAME OLD STORY AND SAME OLD DANCE ROUTINE AND THE AMERICA PEOPLE ARE EITHER IGNORANT OR STUPID OR DO NOT REALLY CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER WHAT HAPPENS IN WASHINGTON D.C. !!!!!!!!

Barack Obama is probably the most trustworthy politician we have seen in a long time. What piece of legislation has McCain sponsored that is significant. Both candidates have a lot of proving to do during the upcoming campaign. I respect JM for surviving as a POW; it is not credentials for a presidency.

McCain:

“And I believe that the success will be fairly easy” and “There’s no doubt in my mind that… we will be welcomed as liberators.” [CNN, Larry King Live, 9/24/02. MSNBC, Hardball, 3/24/03]

“I think we could go in with much smaller numbers than we had to do in the past… I don’t believe it’s going to be nearly the size and scope that it was in 1991.” [Face the Nation, 9/15/02]

“There’s not a history of clashes that are violent between Sunnis and Shias. So I think they can probably get along.” [MSNBC Hardball, 4/23/03]

When McCain was asked “at what point will America be able to say the war was won?” He responded, “…it’s clear that the end is, is, is very much in sight.” [ABC, “Good Morning America,” 4/9/03]

“Overall, I think a year from now, we will have made a fair amount of progress if we stay the course.” [The Hill, 12/8/05 (Exactly one year before violence in Iraq peaked)]

Obama’s theme policy for CHANGE sure looks like warmed-over socialism to me! Can anyone of you Obama’s supporters present to the American voter exactly what Obama means when he uses his CHANGE theme? How would Obama’s CHANGE theme “specifically” address world terrorism, homeland security, trade policy, health care, education, Supreme Court qualifications for nomination, taxes, social services, etc. Please no attacks on others or DNC talking points, just specifically address Obama’s CHANGE theme, what it means and how it would be implemented…

Tel…,

It’s borderline treasonous for a head of state to go on foreign soil to assault a presidential candidate and sitting US Senator. There is unwritten protocol for this sort of thing, and Bush was a fool to ignore it. Moreover, why would he choose to make such accusations during a diplomatic event?
Likewise, Bush’s criticism was way off. Chamberlain was an appeaser. He caved and gave AH what he wanted in hopes of avoiding war. Obama said he would hold diplomatic talks with Iran (an idea proposed by Bush administration officials by the way, ie. Gates and Rice). He didn’t say he would appease. Either Bush is ignorant of the meaning of the word or is simply a liar, and he’s not in touch with his own cabinet.
Next, Bush has already talked with terrorists, ie. Khadafi and KJI.
Finally, Israel’s own departed Yitzhak Rabin held talks with Israel’s enemies in Egypt and Jordan. I DARE Bush to call him an appeaser on Israeli soil.
Tell me again how Bush was spot on?

He will never be elected! He had the servicemen until he said no to the new GI Bill! My son in Afghanistan. Others in Iraq are listening and waiting for him to get on board they deserve it!
Just because he has had enough money for everything? What is his deal? Doesnt he realize more people will back him for president. If he says no to Jim Webb bill today he can kiss his election for president bye bye. The military was going to vote for him. me too. Not anymore
Someone needs to bring that to his attention fast.
Doesnt he understand we will have more people joining the military if he will pass this! His water down bill will not cut it.
Not everybody is loaded like him! Maybe he is the elitest.
My son is in Afghanistan has two children and now a divorce he did not want he has also been to Iraq four times. They deserve the same as anyone else a full rid. Why do you think he joined?
Mccain is stupid

I am curious, why are Conservatives constantly bashing Huckabee? I constantly hear them refer to him as Huckleberry among other names. I thought name calling and making fun of names went out of style once you graduated 6th grade?

I constantly hear Governor Huckabee referred to as Former Pastor or Preacher and some even refer to him as still being a Preacher or Pastor when in fact, he hasn’t been for more than 13 years. Not to mention the fact that he was Governor (10.5 years) longer than he was a Pastor (8 years).

Yet you never hear Mitt Romney referred to as Bishop Romney. Mitt Romney was indeed a Bishop of the Mormon faith for 3+ years. He was also “Stake” president in the Massachusetts area which oversaw all temples in Massachusetts. I would think that if we are going to constantly refer to Huckabee as Pastor, then we should give Bishop Romney equal time.
