McCain: Obama=Carter second term

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In an interview with Carl Cameron today, Sen. McCain introduced some new pushback to Sen. Obama’s assertion that the GOPer represents a Bush third term. The presumptive Republican nominee instead argues that the Illinois Democrat is promoting policies that would mean a second term for President Carter.

“You know one of his favorite phrases is that I would be a Bush third term. Well I think maybe his proposals could be a Carter second term,” McCain told Fox.

Wow. very arrogant of Obama to accuse McCain of having no plans for the economy. Whats Obamas plan? the same old leftist policies that have failed all over the world. What the hell is wrong with people? why cant they see Obama IS A FRAUD!!!! Mcain has plently of problems, but Obama is a fool, a lier and has surrounded himself with people who hate this country. So much so they are willing to lie about(accuse if to creating AIDS) and actually bomb our own institutions(William Ayers, the Weather Underground). Those to reasons alone should disquilify Obama, not with standing that hes lied over and over about his relationships with these psychos.

Wow, he really had no answers. His only proposal seems to be to cut government spending, but he doesn’t say WHAT spending. Point out the specific cuts you want to make. If you can’t do that, you’re just another deficit spender.

A Change Toward The Old “LEFT” Policies

This Excerpted and edited from BennettMornings.com –

A different kind of old kind of candidate
June 3, 2008 From William Bennett:

[T]he Democratic party is about to nominate a far left candidate in the tradition of George McGovern, albeit without McGovern’s military and political record.
The Democratic party is about to nominate a far-left candidate in the tradition of Michael Dukakis, albeit without Dukakis’s executive experience as governor.

The Democratic party is about to nominate a far left candidate in the tradition of John Kerry, albeit without Kerry’s record of years of service in the Senate.

The Democratic party is about to nominate an unvetted candidate in the tradition of Jimmy Carter, albeit without Jimmy Carter’s religious integrity. . .

This confirms that we are all just sitting along side the road waiting on Carter’s Second Term to arrive.

There is no doubt many people were not THERE with the Carter years. I was. I had a baby that we had to ration food and milk over 5 days at a time because we had NO I repeat NO gas in the gas stations except on Thursdays and the county sheriff’s department was on guard at every station where we were RATIONED the gas at 10 gallons with odd and even numbers to get in line. I REMEMBER THIS. I REMEMBER the humiliation we had in Tehran hostage situation.
Carter does not deserve the time if day.

Its about time McCain brings this up. Any normal American can remember what a disaster Carter was. The problem is many libs would still argue that Carter wasn’t so bad. I guess they miss the daily Iranian hostage updates and sitting in lines on your chosen day to enjoy gas rationing.

And of course most of the young brainwashed college kids who go around crying that Bush is the worst President “ever” arent old enough to remember anything prior to Clinton.

I was 19 when as a single mom working a full time job driving a 65 Buick Special 6 cyl. when the embargo hit and we had no gasoline. I remember having to carve out the food we bought on Friday and divide it religiously into 7 days because we couldn’t fill up our tanks again until trucks delivered the gas again on thursday in this very small town. There was no commuting 65 miles to the big city for work or more food if we needed it. There was no gas and if you didn’t have a local job, you were hungry or moved on. I am a baby boomer and was living under conditions my grandmother told me about from the depression. So I think Carter=democrats=depression=being hungry=NEVER AGAIN. I have HATED democrats ever since. Now it is:
OBAMA=CARTER=NO GAS=DEPRESSION=BEING HUNGRY=COLD WINTER=NEVER AGAIN…no way we are warned people. You had to be there to see it. Remember, remember. Before it was the Pole in congress that stuck it to us, now it is Pelosi. How evil.

News for Kids: Gather ’round for one of Grandpa McCain’s favorite stories. It’s a majestic tale about Old King Carter and a handsome young prince. Grandpa says he would be a much better king than the prince. Grandpa says lots of crazy things!

McCain is an old man who will not be vouted in for another BUSH term. Millions of new voters were not even born and Jimmy Carter they only know as a US president. I doubt they will even know what this means. McCain has no clue what is like to be an Adverage Amercian trying to make the ends meet. He is married to a RICH woman whom I am sure supports him very nicely! McCain is the most boring canidate in the history!!!!!

God help us if this country votes McBush into office. I will leave the country. I can’t take another 4 years of this mess we are in. I won’t be a proud American!

Our country is hated by the most of the world. Bush took us into a war that should have never been. The thousands of lifes taken is sickening. I hope that Amercians will think about this when they are voting in Nov. Not to mention the trillions of dollars we Americans will be paying back fot he rest of our lives. It will take years to pay off this mess Bush has us in.

Obama gives us hope and he is an honest caring human being. McCain is a grumpy OLD man who makes me sick to my stomach to listen to him.

That is about time that we start comparing the socialist Obama with Jimmy Carter. High inflation, high unemployment, gas lines, but most importantly failure to defend our people in the face of Islamic Revolution in Iran. I bet media supporting Obama does not want to hear an “inconvinient truth”. I see the same patterns in Obama. Just to let you know that I am a Democrat, but the one that will never surrender this country’s values, or trade it off to foreigners for “higher” oppinion of America.

As a conservative I have real problems with John McCain. This “gotcha” strategy Obama=Carter and McCain=Bush is all BS. Conservatives don’t like McCains position on immigration, drilling in ANWR, McCain/Fiengold, and generally being soft on the democrates. He needs to change his “REAL” position on illegal immigration, (stay the hell away from Teddy), and he really needs to change his position on drilling in ANWR and other US treasure (Oil). If he doesn’t come to the conservatives the conservatives will leave him hanging. There are other alternatives that are more in line with all of the conservative views; Economic, Defense, Courts, Taxes, Smaller Government, State Rights, Right to Life, etc. The more conservatives feel their views are being ignored by McCain the more conservatives will desert in favor of Bob Barr, and as that percentage increases the chances for McCain to win decreases. McCain needs to pay attention to the opinion of those who are going to put him in office. He better remember he is not in the Senate and we can’t be bullied. It’s our vote and currently 60+% want us to drill now in the US and ANWR.

Obama is far worse than Carter. He’s an anti-Christ like figure. Very creepy.

Comment by Fredrik Farhadian

It was a different political climate 30 years ago, so it makes no sense comparing Carter and Obama.
Obama´s statement that a win for McCain would in fact be like a third Bush term is far more accurate than
McCain´s saying that a victory for Obama would put us back in the days of Carter.

I, for one, do NOT want a Carter second term. I remember it too clearly. My husband was and is a General
Licensed Building Contractor (home builder). When Jimmy Carter was President, thank goodness for only
one term, interest rates to buy homes skyrocked to 17 % – 21 %. We couldn’t even give away the homes, who
could afford them at those interest rates. Many of our friends that were also homebuilders lost everything they
had worked so hard for so many years. We were fortunate, we had substantial savings and were able to pay the
bank their monthly payments of the last five available homes. But we lost every penny we had saved.

Obama is a liberal, will raise our taxes, our interest rates, does not have trust in our military–he declared some
time ago that the war was already lost, what kind of American is that? McCain is right — a victory for Obama
would putus back in the days of Carter.
