Romney Campaigns Door to Door
Sunday, November 11th, 2007Governor Romney canvassed door to door for the first time yesterday. He met a mix of supporters and those yet to decide along the way. The New Hampshire frontrunner asked people for their support and how they thought the government was doing. He encountered residents who were upset with the war in Iraq, including one former Marine who was unhappy with how the troops surge was going. Romney respectfully disagreed with the soldier, but later told reporters that he was “sympathetic to everyone’s viewpoint.”
Some Manchester residents seemed surprised to find a presidential candidate on their block, but others expressed that it was all part of living in the state with the first in the nation primary. The former Bay State governor was greeted by supporters with muffins, angry dogs, and of course beautiful New Hampshire foliage.
